I'm running Ubuntu GNU/Linux, the Dapper Drake release. Xgl/Compiz are working. This was captured with Gnome's screenshooter.
It shows the dialog box that pops up when I stop vidcap by clicking the gui stop button. Clicking the play button opens the capture with mplayer. The capture was one screen showing changing the opacity of tall terminal window. The xvidcap command was issued from the terminal in the lower left.

This is my first attempt with using translucency in a jack-o-lantern. Worked out pretty well for a first attempt, I think!
