Montana Rail Link's Helena Local job has arrived in Townsend, Montana behind GP9 109 and SD45 355. The conductor is throwing the switch into the Graymont Limestone Quarry to swap cars before heading into Townsend for additional work and to run around their train.

Three Montana Rail Link EMD SD40-2XRs (rebuilt SD40s), Nos. 251, 253 and 255, power BNSF’s freight between Spokane and Laurel as it tops Winston Hill at Winston, Montana, on July 6, 2018.
A pair of MRL consecutive numbered GP35’s lead the local back into Bozeman, MT after making a run East to Livingston to work an industry and grab some cars. They will return to their yard in downtown Bozeman & tie up from the day.

Montana Rail Link EMD GP35 No. 404 heads up the Harrison branch light engine to retrieve a pair of empty fertilizer cars at the Harrison Elevator on June 27, 2023. To the southwest in the background, clouds build over the impressive Tobacco Root Mountain range.

"Am 16.Juni 1801 betrat Caspar Davird Friedrich zum ersten mal die Insel Rügen. Er kam per Boot von Greifswald über den Bodden und landete bei Wreechen. Dort entstand seine erste Zeichnung auf Rügen. Er wanderte über Putbus nach Göhren und über Jasmund nach Wittow. Am 22. Juni 1801 zeichnete er vom Blockstrand bei Vitt den Blick nach Arkona. Es war die letzte Zeichnung auf deiner ersten Rügen-Reise. Im Atelier schuf er auf dieser Grundlage mehrere Spezialzeichnungen zum Verkauf. Das Motiv Arkona ist auch in das Gemälde Frau am Meer (um1818/1818) eingegangen. Friedrich kam auch 1806 auf seiner 4.Rügfen-Reise nach Arkona und 1815 nach Altenkirchen und Wiek. Seine letzte letzte Zeichnung auf Rügen vom 28.06.1826 zeigt einen Blick von Glowe nach Arkona."

The transporter bridge linking Las Arenas (Getxo) and Portugalete, declared a heritage monument by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, is more than 125 years old. Designed by the architect, Alberto Palacio, a disciple of Gustave Eiffel, it was opened in 1893.
Vehicles and foot passengers are transported in a gondola, suspended from a rail by 36 wheels and measuring 25 metres long, which travels along the rails of the horizontal crossbar. The gondola operates 24 hours a day. The walkway is open from 10:00 until sunset.
You access the walkway by lift. That is the walkway in the picture.
Links unter den dunklen Wolken liegt der Flugplatz Laarbruch, wo der Flugbetrieb normal abläuft. Rechts liegt das Dorf Wemb, wo man Kirmes feiert. Wir sind für eine kurze Zeit am Abend mit Auto und Kamera auf Feldwegen als "Wolkenjäger" unterwegs. Ein gewöhnlicher Samstagabend auf dem Lande am Niederrhein..;=)

Montana Rail Link’s Fourth Subdivision main line through Tuscor, Montana, awakens with the cantilever signal on the west end of the siding flicking to green, signaling a clear path west along the Clark Fork on July 5, 2022. The approaching BNSF westbound is still a ways off as illuminated beams from the searchlights project though moisture-laden air and the Milky Way.

Montana Rail Link SD45 (rebuilt locomotive called a SD45-2) No. 328 heads back to Missoula light after setting out a “Jimbo” work train at Thompson Falls, Montana, on September 19, 2012. Unique caboose No. 1007 came from MRL’s sister railroad SRY Rail Link, and was originally from the British Columbia Hydro Railway.
