Ok1 is the Polish designation of a Prussian steam locomotive, the Prussian P 8, used on Polish State Railways. Production of the P 8 lasted from 1908 until 1928 and this locomotive was used on practically all European railway lines.
After the end of World War I, 192 Class P 8 engines were handed over as a reparation to Poland, including two machines for Free City of Danzig, where they were re-designated as Class Ok1 locomotives (numbers: Ok1-1 to Ok1-190 and Ok1-1Dz and 2Dz for Danzig machines).[1] Since the class was considered successful, further 65 locomotives were built in Germany at Polish order in 1922-1923 (designated Ok1-201 to 265).
During World War II all the locomotives were captured by the Germans or Soviets and most were pressed into the German Railways. After the war, along with new war reparations, Poland received 429 locomotives P 8 (numbers Ok1-1 to 429), what made it by far the most numerous passenger locomotive in the country. They were used until the late 1970s - last locomotive was withdrawn from line service in 1981. Kębłowo (deutsch: Kiebel) ist ein Dorf in Polen, in der Gemeinde Wolsztyn, in der Woiwodschaft Großpolen. Der Ort liegt ca. 8 Kilometer südlich von Wolsztyn und 67 Kilometer südwestlich von Posen. W zeszłym roku nie udało mi się dotrzeć do Wrocławia by sfotografować ten tramwaj po remoncie i powrocie do ruchu po wieloletnim odstawieniu. No, ale w długi majowy weekend ciężko już było znaleźć wymówkę - więc w końcu jest!

Last year I didn't manage to get to Wrocław to take a picture of this tram after it was renovated and put back into service after being out of service for many years. Well, it was hard to find an excuse during the long May weekend - so here it is at last!

In de zomer van 1978 reed de tram van Hamburg op haar laatste wielen. Alleen de tramlijn 2 naar Schnelsen met een ingekorte versterkingsdienst tot Niendorf was nog overgebleven van het eens zo grote net. Die tramlijn kwam ook niet meer bij het Hauptbahnhof maar begon op de Rathausmarkt in het centrum van de stad. Ik heb na aankomst in het station flink moeten zoeken om het beginpunt te vinden. Op aanraden van mijn ervaren tramvriend Hans Oerlemans was ik alleen naar Hamburg gereisd. Ik ben hem nog steeds dankbaar voor dat advies. Een paar maanden na mijn bezoek volgde de opheffing. Dat was op zondag 1 oktober 1978.
Hamburg onderscheidde zich door de karakteristieke vierassige motorwagens. V6-motorwagen 3638 is door Linke-Hofmann-Busch in Salzgitter gebouwd. Hamburg was bovendien het laatste trambedrijf in Duitsland waar de trolleystang gebruikt werd voor stroomafname.
Pogingen tot herintroductie van de tram in Hamburg zijn tot nu toe steeds tevergeefs geweest.

Na terenie Zajezdni Praga można było zwiedzać kilka zabytkowych wagonów. Jednym z nich był wagon Linke Hofmann, który pierwotnie kursował we Wrocławiu i trafił do Warszawy po wojnie, gdzie dostał oznaczenie Lw.
In Praga Depot you could see some museum trams. One of these was the Linke Hofmann tram, which was originally in Wrocław in service and came to Warsaw after the war, where it was labled as Lw.

The 58 dates from 1923 (built by Linke Hoffmann Koln). 779 originates from 1929, constructed by BN from Bruges. In the background, off to the left is the Vondelstraat which dates from 1924.

Aktualnie trwają prace przy remoncie tego wagonu, którego zakończenie planowane jest na czerwiec - postępy prac można śledzić na stronie KSTM lub na profilu fejsbukowym.
Choć w porówaniu do stanu ze zdjęcia wiele się zmieni. Zmieni się kolorystyka wagonu - będzie biało-niebieski.
No i niestety po powrocie na ulice Wrocławia na pewno nie dotrze już nigdy w miejsca z obu tych zdjęć, ponieważ nie ma już tych torowisk.

Work is currently underway to renovate this wagon, with completion scheduled for June - you can follow the progress of the work on the KSTM website or Facebook profile.
Although compared to the state in the photo, a lot will change. The colors of the wagon will change - it will be white and blue.
And unfortunately, after returning to the streets of Wrocław, it will definitely never reach the places from both of these photos, because these tracks no longer exist.
Na tramwajowej linii turystycznej kursują dwie brygady - jedna obsługiwana przez MPK Wrocław i druga obsługiwana przez stowarzyszenie Klub Sympatyków Transportu Miejskiego (KSTM). Stowarzyszenie utrzymuje się między innymi z wynajmu historycznych tramwajów na przejazdy komercyjne, zamknięte. Tak dziś na przykład było z tramwajem Linke-Hofmann - na linii turystycznej wykonał pierwszy, czwarty i piąty z zaplanowanych kursów, na pozostałych dwóch zastąpił go inny wagon a on pojechał z grupą turystów-seniorów.

There are two teams on the tourist tram line - one operated by MPK Wrocław and the other operated by the Association of Supporters of Urban Transport (KSTM). The association is supported, among other things, by renting out historical trams for commercial, closed journeys. This is what happened today with the Linke-Hofmann tram - on the tourist line it made the first, fourth and fifth of the planned runs, on the other two it was replaced by another car and it went with a group of senior tourists. The photo shows the beginning of the fourth run of those operated by KSTM.
Wyprodukowany w 1929 roku, jako jeden z serii 232 wagonów tramwajowych dla Wrocławia (wówczas Breslau) jeden z całkiem wielu zachowanych wagonów typu Standard. Ten konkretny egzemplarz miał o tyle szczęście że po zakończeniu eksploatacji w 1977 nie trafił na złom, tylko nadal służył jako pojazd techniczny, zaś w 1993 roku przeszedł pobieżny remont, obejmujący głównie prace malarskie. Niestety w 1996 roku uległ awarii, przez co został na długie lata odstawiony i posłużył jako magazyn części zamiennych do remontu innego wagonu tej serii - o numerze 1217.

Produced in 1929, as one of a series of 232 tram wagons for Wrocław (then Breslau), one of quite many preserved Standard type wagons. This particular copy was lucky because after the end of its service life in 1977 it was not scrapped, but continued to serve as a technical vehicle, and in 1993 it underwent a minor renovation, mainly including painting. Unfortunately, in 1996 it broke down, which meant it was put aside for many years and was used as a warehouse for spare parts for the renovation of another wagon of this series - number 1217.
More information about it and other historical vehicles in Wrocław can be found on the website of the Municipal Transport Supporters' Club (KSTM) - although only in Polish.
W pierwszych tygodniach kursowania w tym sezonie linia T kursowała trasą zmienioną - z powodu remontu torów na ulicy Piotra Skargi. Obecnie w tym miejscu tramwaje te spotkamy co najwyżej podczas wyjazdu z zajezdni przy ulicy Legnickiej.
In the first weeks of operation this season, the T line ran on a changed route - due to track repairs on Piotra Skargi Street. Currently, in this place, these trams can be seen at most when leaving the depot on Legnicka Street.
Zdjęcie nieszczególne, ale... już nie do powtórzenia, tory tramwajowe na ulicy Dyrekcyjnej zostały wiele lat temu zdemontowane, ulica znacząco przebudowana. Co do tramwaju - nie wiem czy jeszcze wyjeżdża na ulice Wrocławia.
The photo isn't particularly impressive, but... it's impossible to replicate. The tram tracks on Dyrekcyjna Street were dismantled many years ago, and the street has been significantly rebuilt. As for the tram, I don't know if it still runs on the streets of Wrocław.

“El Corto” comandado por la locomotora diésel D-7147 estacionado en el andén curvo de la estación de Renaico a la espera de su hora de salida con destino a Talcahuano.
La D-7147 es una locomotora francesa Brissonneau et Lotz del año 1962, el vagón de pasajeros de color azul/amarillo ubicado detrás de la locomotora corresponde al coche de Primera Clase I-428 fabricado en Alemania en la década del 50 por LINKE HOFMANN y los 4 coches siguientes de color naranjo corresponden al automotor italiano AM-21 del año 1962 que ya no tenía motores de tracción para funcionar por sus propios medios, pero se usaba como material remolcado.
Este tren denominado como "El Corto" que funcionaba entre Talcahuano y Renaico se hacía en esa época habitualmente con locomotoras eléctricas del tipo E-30 o con diésel del tipo D-16000, sin embargo, cuando por alguna razón no se contaba con ese tipo de locomotoras el servicio se tenía que realizar con cualquier locomotora que estuviese disponible, por lo que a veces “El Corto” era comandado por una locomotora eléctrica del tipo E-17 o por una diésel del tipo D-7100.
Posteriormente el servicio de Talcahuano a Renaico se hizo con automotores japoneses AEL y actualmente solamente se llega hasta Laja, dejando los viajes en tren a Renaico solo como un bonito recuerdo de la historia ferroviaria de Chile.
Al costado derecho de la foto se puede apreciar un letrero que dice “Renaico combinación Traiguén” que marcaba el punto de inicio del desaparecido ramal hacia Traiguén que pasaba por Angol y que actualmente se encuentra levantado.

Ya ha comenzado la noche, se encienden las luces y el recorrido de regreso a Santiago continúa. Tras varias horas, la luna ilumina el Tren del Recuerdo mientras este espera para cruzar.
Widok już nie do zobaczenia - choć tramwaje nadal istnieją, tory jak najbardziej są. Tylko na niektórych stanowiskach kierowniczych ludzie się zmienili...

A beautiful new Egyptian State Railways 4-4-2 steam locomotive Nr. 797, built by Linke Hofmann Werke in Breslau, in 1926. A total of fifteen such steam locomotives were ordered new from Linke Hofmann in 1926 (LH works numbers 3046-3060). The original ESR road numbers, 795-809, were changed within the same year to 61-75.

The rental, tourist route has ended, Linke-Hofmann will soon return to service on line T.
