There is just something magical about this shot for me! I don't know if it is just the color and texture of the green or if it is the ever so slight touch of the two. Whatever it is, I really like it and thought I'd share with you!

"Can I get just one more hug? Maybe it will help sort out these lingering feelings I am trying to escape. Maybe I can forget the warmth of your embrace and the calm beating of your heart close to my ears...Why do you allow me to linger? Let me go..."
P.S. When you know something isn't going to end well anyways and yet you somehow just can't leave. Preposterous! Sometimes the heart wants what it wants and eventually the thread must be severed forever.
Note: I so love the maple tunnel in Kintsugi, it is one of Bambi's amazing designs! And looook at the puddles of water. The water and sky is the reason why this photo has a wide angle. How can I let this cute little guy gooo! I will keeep the hug lingering as long as I can :D Thank you again Adam for the Pikafennec.

Farmstead's Charm
In the heart of the countryside's embrace,
A farmstead stands with its rustic grace.
Red barns and silos reach for the sky,
Against a backdrop of clouds up high.
Rolling pastures, where cattle roam,
A peaceful haven, a place to call home.
The scent of earth and freshly mowed hay,
Invites us to linger, to stay and sway.
Farmers toil with hands so skilled,
Cultivating the land, dreams fulfilled.
Rows of crops stretch far and wide,
An ode to diligence, side by side.
Golden harvests, a labor's reward,
Bounty of the fields, a gift to hoard.
In the beauties of farms and fields we find,
A connection to nature, intertwined.
“To linger anew
behind bars of birdsong,
dangling high and on display
in the cage of a memory.
So, has flight been clipped.
So punctuated has been sounding.
So. Score so. Tremble thus,
then less tremble, stilling,
fitfully to rest. Colon.
Here, then here else,
solfege across modulations.
Palm psalms and moth motifs
clap to burn bright, hand-flutter
and arpeggio across a blink,
to play a span, to transit a sonata,
from stutter-bee to shutter-sea,
as saying letters the skin, transported,
just more baggage above comportment.
I have lived
the dark betweens.
Everything I have ever seen
has been through
the murky windows
of way stations.”

Lingering colors from sunset highlight one of Zion's main attractions, the Watchman.....photographed shortly after a very brief but powerful desert storm. It was amazing to see how quickly flash flooding can occur in a desert setting. We were very glad we opted not to hike the narrows on this particular day.
Have a great Thursday.....appreciate all your visits and comments!!!!!

Feel the touch of Winters fingers
The cold caresses and it lingers
On your skin, so soft and tender
The frost does sink and does enter
Deep inside, deep within
Below the surface of your skin
Into your bones, as your mind it walks
The fields of green, where whiteness stalks
The footsteps , of its human prey
On this cold, white, Winters day
Time flies, messy as the mud on your truck tires
Now I'm missing your smile, hear me out
We could just ride around
And the road not taken looks real good now
And it always leads to you in my hometown
one week ago, this was my sunrise view on a balmy autumn morning. today, leaves quickly drop from trees as cold rain falls. soon we'll have frost. but i choose to linger a little longer in the dewy sunshine.
She lingered where time took a coffee break
half in a fairytale, half in a daydream.
The phone box was her portal, the wind her companion,
and somewhere between the rust and roses,
she decided that waiting could be its own kind of adventure.
"Linger in the shade of a kind old tree
Throw away your troubles, dream a dream with me".
(Up a) Lazy River - song by Hoagy Carmichael and Sidney Arodin and sung by everyone. There seems to be different versions of the lyrics, which I find odd. It's a very old song written in the 1930s. It sprang to mind when I looked at this photo.
This lazy river is Snake River in beautiful Grand Teton National Park. Wyoming, USA.
Light; it sustains, it defines, it blows my mind!...especially dappled light, that dance of light and shadow that entrances the 'I' and silences the 'me'.
To think, that those photons of light bouncing off that dewdropped leaf, took a million years of fighting against the sun's immense gravity to get from the centre of the sun to its surface, then a mere eight minutes to get from there to my eyeball, then a ridiculously tiny nanosecond to reach my consciousness...a piece of the sun is in my head...we are not just stardust, we are starlight...mind, blown!
The Delaware Canal, Lambertville side. This is right smack in the middle of the charming villages of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey. You can walk right across a little bridge from one to the other.

Your beautiful flower i caress
Its petals parted , as i undress
Its delicious beauty, for my eyes
As it grows between wild thighs
I do taste its seed , so sweet
My fingers stroke and they meet
Your desire, that does linger
On the softness of my finger
As your flower, now is spread
It irresistible beauty, it is fed
To my mouth, my lips, my fingers
Where it blooms and forever lingers
While taking pictures along the Iowa side of the Mississippi River, I stopped at the Linger Longer Rest Area provided by the Lee County Conservation. It is situated just north of Montrose at the intersection of Highway 61 and the Mississippi River Road.
To get closer to the river bank, I climbed down an embankment and onto the railroad tracks. I paused there before walking to the water's edge to take this photo... I must admit that I was somewhat nervous because trains would not have any reason to blow their whistles along this stretch of track.
Although the river does not appear to be very impressive in this image, it is actually very wide. The water vegetation in the river made it appear much narrower. On the far opposite shoreline stands the gleaming temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo, Illinois. The panoramic view afforded by the park's location is beautiful!
Although the photo probably didn't need any additions, I felt the picture would be better balanced by adding the flying geese... and thus turning this image into a composite.

On your flower , the wetness lingers
I feel it with my searching fingers
I caress, loves tender rain
Making wild, what once was tame
It does tremble and does shake
As my fingers, slowly make
Your sweet flower , open wide
Revealing the treasure , wet inside
That does coat, my invading fingers
With a wetness, that always lingers
Can you feel Winters fingers?
On your skin, their coldness lingers
Your eyes now see, a coat of white
The skies are frozen, very bright
Can you feel the cold caress?
As bitter winds they undress
Your body as you stand
In the wild, freezing land
Join me now , on loves sweet seat
Soak up all my body heat
Feel my hot, passionate fingers
On your breasts, where coldness lingers
See the warmness in my eyes
As love conquers the cold, that fills the skies

Lets walk across, the rocky ground
By the lake , where the sound
Of our footsteps disappear
As the water laps , so near
Its beauty, now forever lingers
On our feet and our fingers
As we make love on the sand
Of our beautiful rocky land
Fades from sight, the wilted flowers color's gone,
it's fragrance lingers on.

[no point in fighting with a statue, it just lingers]]
I'm sure I'm not being rude, but it's just your attitude,
It's tearing me apart, It's ruining everything.
