Once just a train trestle over the Dungeness River, this is now a well maintained foot bridge; part of the Olympic Discovery Trail.

For BDC-Stairs/Stairway
2013 A Year In Photos-#61
Doing a lot of black and white shots today. I loved this staircase with its lines and angles. There are no stairs in my area since we all live in one story homes in my neighbourhood.
I decided to make this one black and white to really show off the strong graphics of the scene. I was struck with the lines and angles from this viewpoint, including the arching roof supports, the window frames, the rectangular pattern on the upper wall, the subtle stripes on the floor, even the horizontals of the people mover and the tiny x on the underside of the wheel chair.
while I was waiting for the sun to rise this morning, there were several boats heading towards the seaway to go fishing. the tide was coming in and just about covering the sandbar and I thought the ripple effect would make for an interesting photo :)
