This is actually the side of a giant oil tank and casting more shadows on the adjacent tank Taken in Scrabster, Northern Scotland. Enjoy!
everything doesn't have to be in black and white.
not everything can be graphed.
sometimes you have to scratch the surface to find something.
sometimes there's just nothing there.
View On Black, if you want.

Something I have been meaning to do for years, tonight I had time to go for a walk in the village up to the rapeseed fields. The yellow always strikes me as a stunning contrast to the countryside and wanted to experiment with my camera. I liked the way the green stalks, the flowers, the trees and the sky creates bands across this picture.
Concept: A goal-oriented mind is everything we really need to achieve our dreams. But be sure that before that you don't tighten your drives too much. You might get aslaved to your own moral, Mr. Kant.
Strobist info: an old shot made with a bare Speedlite on the front left (you can see the speculars pretty blatantly), but processed in PS to emphasize the face. E-TTL, ST-E2.
This shot took hours to set-up in a studio and was extremely tricky due to the reflective nature of the glass with such strong curves. In the end I had to build a light box to put the glass inside, otherwise I would have ended up worth lots of dotty reflections instead of smoth lines. I was quite happy with the end result.
Yesterday afternoon, I turned a corner on a small mangrove boardwalk. The railings of the boardwalk were reflecting in the water with this overlapping shadow from another section of the boardwalk. I considered trying some interesting cropping with this, but decided instead to share the complete view. Linear overdose? Maybe. A bored walk ? Not! =))
It was recently suggested to me by someone I care deeply about that I was a "linear thinker." Recognizing, of course, that this represented her opinion of reality and would have no bearing on my own, and, further, having no idea what was meant by the label, I decided to see if there was any truth to this "accusation."
The results of my test, here visually presented, show that perhaps she was on to something, tho I'm still not certain exactly what she meant.
Above, you see me, hands to head, projecting as best I can my thought patterns.
