...this is a fence in one of the park areas near our house...we pass by it sometimes on walks with Horatio. I like to use it as a background for dolly shots.

Inspired by Leah's beach pictures, we went to the Reservoir...we found a frozen reservoir! People were ice fishing! Here, La Mer is standing at the "water's edge"! That is ice behind her...and under her foot! This is at the end of one of the docks.

We wish that we could go back to Friday night? Saturday? The day the sump pump stopped working in the basement while we were gone and created a flood! Well, guess new carpet will be going in sooner than expected! What a mess! Nothing like coming home to a flood! This picture was taken on the way home, when we where still blissfully unaware of what awaited us at home! Up half the night ripping up carpet and moving things!

The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 30th of November is "coffee or tea". Being British and a traditionalist, I prefer tea to coffee, and I am not the only one in my household who is partial to a cup of tea, or two, or twenty. My Paddington Bear also enjoys a cup of tea for elevenses on any given day of the week. I hope you like my choice for this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!

The teacup I hold is one from a tea set for six complete with six trios, a milk jug sugar bowl and a cake plate. It looks remarkably contemporary in shape and style, yet it is actually from 1911. Produced by British pottery maker, Royal Doulton, this cup is made of translucent china so fine that you can see your hand’s shadow through it when held to the light. It bears a stylised Art Nouveau lily design painted by the most famous of Doulton’s freelance decorators, Robert Allen. To cope with their enormous output, Doulton used both in-house and freelance designers and painters, and in some cases these decorators also added pattern numbers to the wares. The best known is Robert Allen who added an ‘Ra’ number to wares decorated for Doulton in his design studio.
It is suddenly COLD here in my part of the South! Nathan is all snuggly in his plaid flannel pajamas for the night!

...Except for the rain! It is a chilly 47 degrees Fahrenheit (8.3 Celsius), and raining. Doesn't feel like June! La Mer had to don her glasses to step out this morning!

JJ! These are just too fantastic! I cannot believe how AMAZING they are!!! We have Takara-Tomy dollies in their boxes, and they came with their Takara shipping boxes too! AND we got the MOST delicious Mexican candy! I wish that we had this kind of candy in the States! I LOVE it, dear JJ! The girls and I send you one thousand kisses and thanks...and lots of love!!!
