Tongliang dragon dance originated in the Ming and Qing peak, known today. Is a dance, and gymnastics and acrobatics. Tongliang dragon has closely connected with the Han folk dance fireworks Dragon burning The music, unique, ingenious, thrifty and simple clothing props and generous, the masses to participate in the highly characteristic.

The Taipei Railway Workshop (Chinese: 臺北機廠) was the largest workshop of Taiwan Railways Administration. For decades it manufactured and maintained thousands of railway vehicles. The Workshop was established in 1935 replacing the original workshop, which had become became inadequate. It was the largest railway workshop ever built in Taiwan. The Governor-General of Taiwan recognized its establishment as celebrating the Empire of Japan ruling Taiwan for 40 years.
The 16.82-hectare site on Civic Boulevard was the largest and oldest of its kind on the island. It closed in 2012. It was constructed in 1930 and features distinctive structures such as a 168-meter-long train assembly shed.[1] The operation was transferred to TRA Fugang Vehicle Depot (Chinese: 臺鐵富岡基地).The workshop was recognized as an "official national historic site" in 2015. The government of Taiwan says it is planning to transform the facility into a railway museum.

Once a flourishing town thanks to copper mining, this mountain village was famous as a major producer of vivid red “Bengara” color pigment made from oxidized iron. Fukiya Furusato Village, known for the uniform red color of its buildings, a color rarely produced even in Japan, has earned recognition as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. At the Bengara Ceramics Museum, visitors can try their hand at making pottery using this red ocher color pigment (reservation required). For a limited time, visitors can also experience the irresistible charm of Fukiya Furusato Village’s vintage red bonnet bus cruising through the town. One-of-a-kind souvenirs, such as Bengara-dyed stoles, are also available.
JR東日本已對外宣布,目前上越新幹線所使用雙層車廂的列車「E4系」,將在2020年度末(2021年3月底)前全部汰換為新型列車「E7系」。
E4系列車為每輛8節車廂,共23輛列車、184節車廂。從2001年引進至今,列車逐漸老舊已成為待解決的問題。全面汰換後,雙層車廂的新幹線身影也將就此消失。
E4系是在1997年的東北新幹線正式上路。長野新幹線的臨時列車也曾使用過E4系,但之後依序更換,到了2012年以後就只剩上越新幹線使用。本次預計從2018年度起陸續汰換為E7系列車。
The Nagaoka Fireworks are held over two nights in August along the banks of the Shinano River. Both nights feature almost two straight hours of fireworks including some of the largest shells in Japan such as 90 cm diameter Sanjakudama shells, and the festival's signature Phoenix Shell, which has come to be a symbol of recovery after the 2004 Niigata Earthquake. The show's finale covers nearly two kilometers of the riverbank and is the widest span of fireworks in the world.
There is lots of free seating along the riverbank facing the show, but be sure to arrive early enough to secure seats. Paid seating is also available, and tickets should be purchased in advance. The venue is a 20 minute walk from Nagaoka Station from where there are shinkansen connections to Tokyo and Niigata City, but note that it is difficult to catch the last train back to Tokyo after the end of the show. Consider staying in Nagaoka or Niigata, in which case a travel package including train, hotel and seating may be worth investigating.
The Nagaoka Fireworks are the most spectacular of three outstanding firework shows in Niigata Prefecture.
長岡花火大會,不同於其他兩大競賽花火大會,長岡花火大會是為了紀念長岡空襲及中越地震等自然災害所犧牲的慰靈,同時結合復興活動的花火大會。
長岡花火大會的由來可溯自第二次世界大戰。1945年8月1日,美軍正對長岡市進行空襲,當時長岡市約八成的街道被燒於灰燼,死亡人數高達1486名。
遭遇如此噩夢的居民們,一心祈求早日重建。長岡空襲隔年,居民彼此互相鼓勵打氣,為了祈求和平,於1946年8月1日舉行了「長岡復興祭」-這便是現今長岡花火大會的濫觴。
1948年8月1日,居民為了紀念遭受空襲的罹難者,將8/2至3的兩天命名為「花火大會」, 這就是長岡花火大會的前身。
活動起始的第一年,當地居民共同協力募款舉辦的長岡花火大會,一共釋放了350發煙火。如今,長岡花火大會已擴大規模為兩天兩萬發之多 。
根據主辦大會統計,今年2015月8/2至3日兩天所舉行的花火大會,總共有104萬人到場觀賞。
而不僅人數年年增加,主辦單位也因應人群逐年增設付費觀眾席,可見長岡花火大會的人氣。最初這活動只是居民的祈福活動,現今已然成為日本全國參與的夏日著名盛會。
毎年華やかに繰り広げられる「長岡まつり」
その起源は、長岡の歴史に刻み込まれた、
最も痛ましい、あの夏の日に発しています。
今から72年前の昭和20年8月1日。
その夜、闇の空におびただしい数の黒い影
―B29大型爆撃機が来襲し、午後10時30分から1時間40分もの間にわたって市街地を爆撃。
旧市街地の8割が焼け野原と変貌し、
燃え盛る炎の中に1,486名の尊い命が失われました。
見渡す限りが悪夢のような惨状。
言い尽くしがたい悲しみと憤りに打ち震える人々。
そんな折、空襲から1年後の21年8月1日に開催されたのが、
長岡まつりの前身である「長岡復興祭」です。
この祭によって長岡市民は心を慰められ、
励まされ、固く手を取り合いながら、
不撓不屈の精神でまちの復興に臨んだのでした。
