I hope to start getting back into Flickr again. I miss all my Flickr friends and their lovely work. Lets sail into this holiday season with new hope and goals for the next year.
(My little origami boat is approximately an 1 3/4" small with a teeny little lantern).
.......Strikes back!! It shines all over me!! On my face !! I close my eyes....It fills my heart with warm feelings of Love and Hope!! God, please, help me live the rest of my Life's life with dignity and Beauty!!

Shot over a high wall. This house, with its large grounds, is a throwback to the early days of Setagaya Ward. Its roof is literally sagging in places, and I fear its days are numbered.
Light Within by Ben Dearnley at Beaulieu Estate Sculpture Exhibition.

This large scale garden piece is the first of its kind for Ben and brings together his love of light, colour and poetry in one form. The sculpture invites the viewer to get up close and personal, and look through the open pupil at the landscape which surrounds it. Then to see the many colours which make up the iris where they will see lines of poetry and details, hand painted in the traditional methods of the many cathedral stained glass windows. The viewer is taken on a journey of their own discovery for the more they look, the more they will see.

The sculpture is mad from steel and stained glass. Weight 25kg.

actually, these old glass wine bottles, known as 'damigiane', were not standing alone, but with many others in front of our papermaking studio... it just happened that the angle of light singled them out... quite a spotlight for these four graces

It is too hot to garden, walk or be outside. So I am trying to find my inner Weston and find sensuality in stone walls. This monochrome from Upper Antelope Canyon was taken on a hot day as most are. It doesn't reflect the chaos of tourists jostling through the tight rock canyon trying to see the animals and scenes that Navajo guides painstakingly point out. I can only see a flower, a lily.
Yesterday in the very late afternoon I suddenly saw these nasturtium leaves
filled with the last sunrays... everything around was kind of dark... and they
were spreading their wonderful emerald green light!

Our path as humans is to be like the sun, letting the light of consciousness shine on all living beings. We can call it kindfulness, and soulshine.
A flower or a sunset remind us of this unconditional love. We can rest in its beauty and it nourishes the soul.
Like all other talents, loving each other requires training, through relationships, friendships, conflicts and peace, we all know the cosmic drill :)
Darkness and light are simply different aspects of the gift of life.
I am very inspired by Martinus Cosmology, a spiritual and eternal world picture, and would like to share some advice that Martinus gave, from an article called "A question of tolerance":
1. Discard the concept of 'enemies' from your consciousness.
2. Never retort against anger, slander or other forms of
unpleasantness directed against you.
3. Never say anything evil about anyone or anything.
4. Be absolutely truthful and honest in all situations of life.
5. Be absolutely uninfluenced by flattery, praise and criticism.
6. Never take part in killing, wounding or mutilating.
7. Never let your thoughts deviate from being concerned how you best can serve your fellow beings. In so doing you will practise the very highest form of yoga or the most perfect training of that part of your development which is within the scope of your will......

The flower is a wild Mezereon, Daphne mezereum, one of the first you see during early spring in Sweden. It is a small bush here, and has a lovely scent.

I downloaded them and started playing around... I must admit, they are pretty awesome...
Here I used "Poisoned Peach" (playing with the opacity and the order of the layers, of course, so they fit well with the image) and a few eye candy actions...
