i had photographed the man.
just like this.
but instead of a bird, there had only been some folded papers.
they were blank.
he didn’t read them. he just looked at them.
maybe he was thinking about what they could say.
i wanted to replace the paper with a bird.
that was the idea.
i opened the file, described the scene, and told the ai to change only that.
a gull, not a page.
but chatgpt-4o didn’t listen.
instead of a modified photo, it gave me this.
a new image.
a new light.
a man who looked like the first man, but wasn’t him.
and a bird that wasn’t mine.
the picture i wanted was lost.
but the one i got is better.
Not sure about the subspecie it could be a Common chimpanzee
(Pan troglodytes) or a Western common chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus) burgers zoo houses these two subspecies together or i could be a mix of these two.

I was looking on my photo harddrive when i came acros this photo of a lynx. This photo is very precious to me due to the story behind it. It was summer 2020 and the day before i took this photo i had my check up at the hospital, At that time i was more tired than usual. So it was time to talk to my cardiologist and he told me that the ejection fraction was gone down hill. Ofcourse this was something that did something to me. The next day i still had that a bit sad feeling of the day before so we (my mum, dad and i) went out doing what i love to do the most: animal photography. I got this photo of a juvenile lynx with her bright eyes, And this photo this day motivated me to do what i do best: photography (and only if i knew back then what i would have grown in skill in the upcoming 5 years) , to enjoy every good thing on my path. I hope this motivates (some) to just follow their heart and passion
We're challenging ourselves this week in one of my favorite Flickr groups, "Me Again Monday". I decided it was about time to push myself closer to the lens. If you are familiar with my 365 days of self portraits, 99% of my shots were at a distance, in a silhouette, jumping, lost in the scene, etc...Its not in my comfort zone at 46 years old (and feeling 21:) I was hoping to give it to you SOOC but after I started playing in Lightroom, I couldn't stop...it made my brown eyes pop, smoothed a few well earned wrinkles and I loved the result.

Another view of the railway station in Strasbourg in which you can see the sky dome added a couple of years ago in front of the "old station".
To make the photo from the one previously uploaded, I played with tones in LR and added textures to the image.
