Mid of November to Mid of December is the Tamil month "Karthigai". It is celebrated by lighting lamps. Lighted lamp is considered auspicious to bring in Prosperity and Joy. Rows of clay oil lamps (Agal Vilakku) are lit in every house especially on the day of "Karthigai Deepam".

9 A.M at my home, that feeling of 'just want to sleep once more' before starting to work. Suddenly located my body against the grasses and flowers. The Orchid flower in this picture was a kind of little orchid that blends with the grasses. Well, not exact grass but more to tropical plantations. Actually love this time around the morning at 8-10 AM and afternoon time about 3-5 PM. The feel of chill and take it easy feeling.

This time I want to share a tool I started to use for my photo. That is called 'Basic Lights'. I was searching for a lighting lamp for my pictures. Then I found this lighting that we can wear outside the studio and use to control the lights into our body and face. I started to like this tool because it is able to give us the 'right' lights on the face and body without having to rez a studio lamp and we can use it outdoors. The MP link and the style card is on my website

Die Unschärfen an den Booten bitte ich zu entschuldigen. Der Rhein war in Bewegung.....

I apologize for the blurs on the boats. The Rhine was on the move .....

I am not a portrait photographer and when I do make portraits I have to use all kinds of tricks to get a somewhat acceptable result. No photo studio, but a converted kitchen, no lighting lamps, just daylight, no professional background set, but a paper tablecloth, no professional model, but a granddaughter who makes it all worthwhile! ;o)

There is something about the views out of a train window, and I wanted to catch both the scene and the motion of the journey.

This group of used butter lamps caught my eye at the temple in the Punakha dzong. It was late in the afternoon and pilgrims had been lighting lamps all day. As the oil burned off, a monk would take the used lamp and place them in the corner.

Though the chances of replying to every single comment and fave is unlikely, please keep in mind that I appreciate every single comment & favorite tremendously.

I thank you in advance, with an abundance of sincerity, for taking the time to look at my photos.

The front lenses of a lamp for macros. Below each 10mm dia. lens are three different colour LEDs so that it can simulate any colour. Here, it is shining my favourite green. Another smaller lamp with a barn door shield made the red reflections. For Macro Mondays "Photographic equipment".

the trees breathe

a bouquet of new leaves

a rustle of shadow and light

wingbeats

and goodnight calls

and the quiet sense

of something waking

half blind

dusk is opening our ears

to the heart of the path

the forest

is singing

a hymn for the night

forgive me for deleting group comment codes...

It was last winter, not much to take photos of outside. I decided to buy some flowers i found at the supermarket. It was quite challenging getting the nikkor 50mm to focus very close to the subject so i had to crop the photo a lot to get in this close.

Thanks for 10.k views

Liverpool`s St Georges Hall. It doesn`t matter when it was built and who built it, it was built and that`s all that matters.

Unspoilt (as yet) brutalist architecture.

Shot taken against the open window. I do most of my photographic work inside my study and try to keep things simple. These little lamps, cheap as they are, turned out to be very useful. Image edited in Luminar.

Not exactly a coffee shop, and not just barber shop; and not Otto (as in German), but Ottoman.
