This is a video showing the application of a billboard type lighting entry structure with the ability to program. I-5 Design & Manufacture created the design concept, manufactured and implemented the custom entry structure for Oaklawn Racing and Gaming in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is a horse-racing facility that has been in business for over 100 years, but wanted to create an upscale eye-catching entry for their location. We were able to program video footage like running horses and a waving American flag that were able to tie into their overall marketing program. The installation was completed within a 48 hour window. For more casino design and implementation examples visit the I-5 Design website.

The custom elements within the new gaming floor design were fabricated and pre-assembled offsite in order to ensure the implementation could be achieved within the most efficient time onsite and with minimal disruption to casino operations.

At the Lake of the Torches Casino, located in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, I-5 Design and Manufacture upgraded various interior and exterior areas, including the Woody’s Bar & Grill. To add color and interest to the bar, we designed, manufactured and installed this suspended ceiling structure, which has multiple layers and is illuminated with red LED’s that shine onto the corrugated metal panels beneath. To tie into the ceiling structure we designed the counter facing to be made of corrugated metal and down-lit with amber LED's to create a warm atmosphere. At the Lake of the Torches Casino & Resort, located in Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin, I-5 Design and Manufacture completely upgraded the look and feel for the Woody’s Bar and Grill. Over the bar, we designed a suspended multi-tired structure, which houses concealed red LED lighting that reflects onto the corrugated metal panels inside and provides a dramatic effect. From this structure are four suspended amber mica chandeliers with an integrated pinecone motif to tie into the ‘nature’ theme of the rest of the bar and grill. In the Lake of the Torches Casino, located in Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin, I-5 Design and Manufacture created a complete interior bar and grill remodel in less than two weeks. The décor theme that we created for the area consisted of lodge-style elements, similar to the native area of Wisconsin. Son et' Lumiere Sunday - a day I have set aside as a weekly opportunity to post a bit about the industry I find myself in. This Sunday, I find myself up in Greensboro for our annual Market America convention. The image above was actually from last year as the load in for this year will commence in about, oh, seven hours or so. Sometimes, its still hard to imagine that in one day, we get this rig virtually in and focussed! Of course, if not for the hard work of the Hylite crew for the last week working tirelessly in the hot South Florida shop prepping this show like a concert tour would load in, tomorrow would probably be a total disaster.....no, it WOULD be a disaster (and thats putting it nicely!)

As I seem to totally immerse myself in this project, I anticipate most of my posts this week to be about this project.....onsite and behind the scenes.

One more before I turn in, here is a video I posted this evening from a previous show of the producer doing his best to announce some of the names in the recognition portion of the program....most of them in Mandarin! Enjoy!

More on all of this later :)
