This light hangs in my office at home. I'm pretty sure it's original, dates from when the house was built. If so, it's 97 years old. The petals are milk glass, the central circle is clear pebbled glass, and it's topped off (bottomed off???) with a bullet-shaped brass nut.
This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a monthly challenge called "Freestyle On The Fifth". A different theme chosen by a member of the group each month, and the image is to be posted on the 5th of the month.
This month the theme, "fields of gold" was chosen by Gary (www.flickr.com/photos/gazman_au/).
On the September FFF+ walk through Southbank promenade and the Casino precinct, I spotted this ornate chandelier of golden blown glass baubles in a window display of Graff Jewellers at the Casino.
My wife had picked up a new ceiling light fixture for her office. Before removing the old one (here), I grabbed some shots as I liked the pattern it presented on the ceiling. Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

The Winter Garden Atrium is a 10-story glass-vaulted pavilion on Vesey Street in New York City's Brookfield Place office complex. Originally constructed in 1988, and substantially rebuilt in 2002, the Atrium houses various plants, trees and flowers, and shops. Appleton is a city in Outagamie (mostly), Calumet, and Winnebago counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. One of the Fox Cities, it is situated on the Fox River, 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Green Bay and 100 miles (160 km) north of Milwaukee. Appleton is the county seat of Outagamie County. The population was 72,623 at the 2010 census. Of this figure, 60,045 resided in Outagamie County, 11,088 in Calumet County, and 1,490 in Winnebago County. The Mizpah Hotel was designed by M.J. Curtis and opened in 1908 in Tonopah, Nevada. It closed in 1999 and reopened after restoration in 2011. The hotel is part of the Historic Hotels of America and is on the National Register of Historic Places #78001725.
