Cosden Building
The Mid-Continent Tower started out as the 16-story Cosden Building, built for oil baron Joshua Cosden in 1918. The Cosden Building was built on the site of the first Tulsa schoolhouse, which was established as a mission in 1885 on Creek Indian land.[2] The Cosden Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.[1] It was designed by Kansas City architect Henry F. Hoit who also designed a home for Cosden.
Although it is sometimes mentioned in connection with Tulsa's extensive inventory of Art Deco buildings, the Mid-Continent Tower is actually built in a modern version of the Gothic style that was popular before the advent of Art Deco. 215
All that remains from a small resort or bungalow colony near spring Glen is this gateway. The remains of light fixtures can still be seen on the posts.

This is another outstanding chandelier in the Wallace house in Athens, AL that was designed by Paul Rudolph. Really made me think of a snowflake or spiderweb. It was worth going to this estate sale just for the house and fine details!

今天在高雄拍照. 已經是第x小時坐在會場,耳被如雷的話語不停地轟炸. 我的心早就飛走, 在記憶卡找些底圖,配合環境實驗重複曝光.
Thank you everyone for your visit, favorites and comments.

I took this from the bridge leading to the new section of the Chicago Art Institute which provides a great vantage point to the skyline along the west side of Millennium Park.
I created this panorama by stitching together 9 vertical shots.

Once inside Casa Batlló, one is never tired of discovering the many innovative and charming pieces of artwork. This is a ceiling lamp in one of the rooms, which looks more like a spaceship or UFO in outer space to me:-)

Casa Batlló is a renowned building located in the center of Barcelona and is one of Antoni Gaudí’s masterpieces. A remodel of a previously built house, it was redesigned in 1904 by Gaudí and has been refurbished several times after that. Like everything Gaudí designed, it is only identifiable as Modernisme or Art Nouveau in the broadest sense. In 2005 Casa Batlló became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. [Source: Wikipedia]
