#LightFixtures - Hanging lights in the lamp hanging from a rope or chain, they come in many styles, including a popular new style in which light itself is very small. In these designs “industrial pendant light fixtures“, the canopy, which goes through the roof, cannot be too small, because it has to...

First of all...I just want to say I am having serious photography withdrawal with this crazy school schedule right now!!!

I just want to go somewhere and spend some quality time with my camera! =)

Secondly...no secondly, I still miss my camera. Just kidding.

Anyway..I was trying to relax my brain from information overload and decided to play in Photoshop a little with this image. I jacked up the blacks to completely silhouette the light fixture (It was almost a silhouette anyway). The sky was blue, just slightly lighter but it darkened a little when I changed the black value. For fun I thought about changing the hue to orange for Halloween this month but then opted not to because, well, I highly dislike Halloween. That's that!

These light fixtures are at Silver Springs.

The liquid from the downspout is a mixture of tears and pee. I hate to have to touch the dirty pinpad of this.

But I love it when wall-mounted lightfixtures have candle-shaped lightbulbs!, for instance this one here.

When we built our house and were looking for lighting, I fell in love with this sweet, pink chandelier, and my husband allowed me the indulgence. I added the glass hummingbirds one Christmas, and they've stayed ever since.

We live in a country house with tiny little rooms. I've always wanted to take a picture of this light, and you've seen bits of it here on my stream, but today, I got out the tripod and wrestled with it in the small spaces. This is a somewhat long exposure. HPPT!

From the Stardust Room of the Nevelle Resort in Ellenville, NY.

Beautiful old light fixture (candle?) found in Havana. Love the symmetry of the window frames.

This is an excellent, ready-made lamp made from...well, steel plumbing fixtures, actually, but also a lamp base, etc. It comes with two Edison bulbs included. This is a way to add a LOT of vintage industrial style into a room with a very small commitment of space.

Day 1 of the July Challenge.

I've been contemplating all day whether or not to participate in the July Challenge. Well, after checking the mail this evening I saw these lights in our building and I figured I'd see what I could do with the scene. I managed to catch five of these lights in a single frame by shooting at 10mm and laying on the ground and against the wall of the stairwell. I brought out the green because my camera's auto w/b turned out a little green on some shots and I kinda liked it.

I'll probably try to get a photo each day for the July Challenge... I figure it'll give me a good reason to actually use my digital camera.

This hanging light fixture is the newest design in my on-going recycled wine bottle light series. This is only my second pendant light. I think I was subconsciously influenced by ceramic vases by Teco. The bottle has been sandblasted, and the plywood was shaped on a bandsaw. The three plywood wings are held together by a brass spider that I fabricated and screwed on the top of all three segments of the spider. I had to incorporate some store bought lamp supplies, and I used an energy efficient 2 watt LED light bulb that does an excellent job of illuminating the bottle.
