Sleeping Beauty Castle - completed in 1992, for the park's 12 April opening, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant stands 50 meters (160 ft) tall. The Castle is home to a dragon, which, at 27 meters (89 ft) from head to tail, was the largest Animatronic figure yet built when the park opened in April 1992. The walkthrough attraction consists of a dimly lit cavern with the large dragon sleeping silently. Occasionally it will 'wake up', puffing smoke and growling. The building also contains La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures. La Boutique du Château, a shop selling Christmas ornaments year-round, and Merlin l'Enchanteur, a shop specialising in handmade glass figures, are located on ground floor.

I loved this image because of the reflection. I played around withe several layers. I first touched up the vertical seams in the mirror using the lasso tool to selct portions copy, and paste over the seams. I then copied this layer a couple time. I used one as a screen mode layer with adjusted opacity. I used the lasso tool with a feather of 88 pixels to select some of the reflection. I applied this on a new layer as hard light with added contrast and color.
I made a new background with some lighting stuff. I applied this as a hrdlight layer, and I dupe as normal with adjusted opacity. I used the regular lasso and a feather of 44 pixels to roughly select the subject. I copied this from the original background and pasted to a top layer. I adjusted the hue, and worked with the opacity to help get rid of some of the red overtones. Thank prettywar-stl, for letting me work with your great photo.

I thought this was a great photo. I converted it to Greyscal and boosted the contrast a little. I then converted it back to RGB (even though it still looked B&W), so I could apply some lighting effects. I used several different lights on layers...and different colors. I made quick and soft selections with the Polygonal Lasso Tool (Lesson 2B), then flattened the image. It was stong on the magenta side. I duplicated this layer and adjusted the hue to have much more blue. Then used the airbrush eraser to let the magent bleed through in places (you can also use a mask for this). I flattened this and applied several lensflares from the stage lights.
Thank you so much Diddle26 for letting me work on your awesome photo!

Völkerball is a New Deutsche Härte band based in Oberlarh near Bonn and performing exclusively Rammstein covers. The band lineup is René Anlauff (vocals), Tobias Kaiser and Björn Müller (guitars), Andreas Schanowski (keyboards), Tilmann Carbow (bass) and Dirk Oechsle (drums). Völkerball's music is basically Rammstein's music (the band bills itself as "a tribute to Rammstein") and the theatrics are a close match, so fans looking for a very similar experience on a smaller scale should give it a try. Völkerball maintains two websites, www.weichen-und-zunder.de and www.voelkerball.eu, as well Facebook, www.facebook.com/voelkerball, and Youtube presence, www.youtube.com/user/VOELKERVISION.
These photos were taken during Völkerball's performance at the Rhein in Flammen in Bonn, an annual festival of music and entertainment and fireworks display held in towns and cities along the river Rhein (in English Rhine). More in Rhein in Flammen on rhein-in-flammen.com/de/bonn.html and in a Wikipedia stub, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhein_in_Flammen.

Edited in PicMonkey with beJeweled as a new texture. Once as Hard Light and then again as Normal blending mode, and painted it in very, very softly with 24% of the brush, again and again and again and again, etc. Like the time lapsed qwikLoadr.
I played around with an empty syrup bottle shaped like a maple leaf. It had real maple syrup from Vermont in it. Tasty stuff.
