another bad-photo-which-I-like-anyway because the out-of-focus effect actually emphasizes the pattern of the spiderweb and shows the colours in webs which most people probably don't normally notice. In large (hit the L key) you can see the "stripes" of colours which efffect I believe is caused by diffraction or thin film interference, Wiki ( on diffraction) states:Richard Feynman said that "no-one has ever been able to define the difference between interference and diffraction satisfactorily. It is just a question of usage, and there is no specific, important physical difference between them."
