The light-flooded window is merely the shadow cast by a street lamp on the wall of our flat in Taranto, Italy. I took the shot around half past seven, when it was dark outside (the "shooting time" given by flickr is the time when I edited the shot). Through a double exposure I have created the illusion of an "outer world".

photo taken early Spring 1985; a good friend of mine was studying architecture at the University of Illinois and this had opened fairly recently, so we drove to Bloomington, just walked in, and looked around
Your looking at the Manhattan Bridge. This is only my second bridge landscape taken Canon Eos50d. I normally wait about 15-30 minutes after the sun goes down to take my night scene photos. I plan to collect all the cities bridges to add to my portfolio, my next one shall be the George Washington bridge so stay tune :-) My thanks to my beautiful girlfriend Jenny for keeping me great company during the night, and for being patient while I did my work. I love you!

The rays of the late evening sun caught by a Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 50mm f:2.8, semi-automatic aperture with ten blades ("Edixa-Reflex" engraved on the zebra-style focussing-ring). Aperture wide open.
If you view "Large" and zoom in all the way, you can find a tiny very sharp area on the oak-leaf to the left of centre!

Amanda took advantage of a great, temporary play of light. Shug never looked better. Sugar is a Beagle, Chihuahua mix. Now, she has her first Explore. Maybe I’ve posted five or six photos of hers in the several years. It took me thousands and thousands of posts to get my first one!

(English version of the following poem below)
Semblent entonner un hymne;
Une mélodie au douces notes,
Dont le refrain est la Liberté.

Freedom Starts Here (English version)
By Ben Heine (Written in 2003)
The radiance of this place alleviates the spirit,
A blue wind takes the troubles away,
The birds are cradled by time.
An invisible path takes shape in the air.
Here, the souls exchange sweet messages,
All move under the gilded rays,
Towards vast uninhabited forests.
One feels light, light, light and free.
All the elements of nature
Seem to sing a holy hymn;
A melody with soft notes,
Whose refrain is Freedom.

"Art, which is masculine, nurtures science which is feminine. Sight is the sense of Glory, hearing is the sense of Faith. The ideal quality of a work of art is harmony, which in the visual arts comes from light that gives relief and decorates. Architecture is the ordering of light."

Casa Batlló is a building designed by Antoni Gaudi and built in years 1905–1907; located Passeig de Gràcia, part of the Illa de la Discòrdia in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
Gaudi was a passionate observer, learning from what he saw in the sky and the clouds, in water, rocks, plants, animals, and mountains.
To understand Gaudí's achievement we must recognize that his work is not exclusively architectural. It is more than that, it is not architectural in the sense that historians understand architecture. Gaudí's work does not fit into traditional schemes of architecture.
