CFE 3316 preparing to stop and flag a crossing west of Convoy. This portion of the main to Fort Wayne is under 10 restriction for deactivated crossings. In between trains tie gangs do their yearly project, hence the deactivated crossings.

Late in the afternoon, Chicago Fort Wayne & Eastern train LIFW rolls through golden farm fields of corn and soybeans just east of Convoy, Ohio. In a couple more miles, the train will cross into Indiana.
One of the few times I'd have preferred a different color leaser. CEFX 3144 matches the mill and sky on this CF&E freight train
CF&E LIFW finished staging their train in the East end of Piqua Yard with C40-8W's #7865 and #4036 "Veterans" as they reverse to swap power and take out a pair of GP40-2's for the return trip to Lima, OH.
