Before I became sick I was a really hard worker. I relied on my hobbies to rejuvenate me. When I became worn down from illness, I gradually quit my hobbies. After work, I had a kid to feed, bathe, and put to bed. That left me with no energy. It took me years to get back to my hobbies. Now that I am crocheting, writing and drawing again I cannot tell you how much it helps. It is good for relaxation, keeping the brain healthy and keeping you true to yourself. They say you can lose yourself in an activity. The truth is when you are so deeply involved that you forget the outside world exists you are truly finding yourself. When these moments happen, you are taking a deep dive into your soul. Your soul needs time to communicate with your brain in order to keep you sane.
