Let your uniqueness shine <3

Road between Macaé (3h from Rio) and Rio de Janeiro

My new project view from the window

That moment when you see that special view from the car window and you don't want to bother the driver to stop to take the picture, because you have stopped already 3 minutes ago :)

Do you have the same issue ??

Where fairies dance and sprinkle their magic

Tomorrow is another day! I know it's hard. Be strong, you can do it!

You light up my life :-)

The beauty and power of softness

Posting this one not for the quality of the photo, but for the intensity of the feeling. Something I need to remember.

In that silence by the tracks, sun sinking behind the old elevator . . . something welled up inside me, encircled my heart.

Was it gratitude, was it peace? An overwhelming dose of amazing grace? Was it just the glorious result of finally being completely in the moment and no where else? Was it the realization that life can be so damn sweet and it breaks my heart that I usually can't see it that way. Yet every once in awhile, I get it right, it all lines up, I stand in awe for the chance to just be where I am.

Like that morning in Holly, Colorado, waiting for the Chief in the cold as the roosters crowed . . . or that time-warp evening in San Francisco when the old streetcars rounded the corner and a street musician played on . . . or that dark night in the town of Ladora, when the glow of an old garage's neon sign spilled down onto US 6.

It's a feeling that never lasts long, though I want it to. Reality intrudes. Promises to keep. Miles to drive before I sleep.

How many more of these holy moments will I experience in this life? For years they were lost to work, stress and worry. But now, out of that tunnel, I've found my photographer's eyes and dusted off the camera bag. There is hope. I need only look . . . and I'm remembering how. That slow careful gaze . . . for the rest of my days.
