You've got to count your many blessings everyday
Explore May 2, 2008 - Thanks everyone !!
Things happen in life that can really get us down, in those times we just have to look up & believe ...
As I was shooting this scene a couple decided to walk out onto the rocks.....
I left them in and added a slight dreamy effect for emotion and feeling....I hope it all works together with the water action in the foreground.....
I will be curious to hear your honest thoughts.....

A year ago today I went to yahoo answers and typed, "a good, quality site to post photos?" Everyone that responded said, "flickr." So I was like.. oh, what the heck, why not..
Little did I know there was this amazing little world in here that I would grow to love so much. I've met so many amazing people that I never would have had I not created this account.
So.. thanks a million, flickr world :) Love you all.
I had to part ways with the C-Sonnar 50/1.5 as it was very costly and I had a need arise.
My good friend Trevor then sold me his 40mm f1.4 Nokton S.C. (Single coated!) which i've always wanted to try the single-coated version of. He was very kind in also including the Voitglander hood and filter!
In the upside, I got to keep my Fuji GS645 :).
I think I need to change my attitude
I think I want to change my oxygen

Nothing is a guarantee, and nothing is truly set in stone.
You can take this either way; the greatest thing in your life right now is not guaranteed to last, cherish it while it does.
The absolute worst thing in your life right now that haunts you day in and day out is not set in stone, that does not have to be the way it is.
You are ultimately the master of your fate.
Embrace life as it is thrown at you.
*Another version in comments, I wasn't sure which was better.

This Maine Coon she-cat became quite concentrated watching tv, for a short while though.
There was a documental on tigers...

Today's quote is from The Religion of God (Divine Love) by His Divine Eminence RA Gohar Shahi. 'Love is an involuntary gift that manifests unplanned.'
we have this corner in our yard that's been neglected for the last ten years -- an old compost bin that never got turned or emptied, a collapsed wheelbarrow filled with dirt compacted over years, and piles of rubbish and rocks.
today i decided to get dirty. three hours later, the compost bin was disassembled, with the unexpected discovery of gorgeous dirt spread out to even out the corner. the wheelbarrow was emptied (you can see it behind me), and has since been moved to another part of the yard where i can fill it with annuals next spring.
my feet are FILTHY, my fingers are torn up, and i haven't felt this good in months.
next up: cleaning and painting the shed to match the house, then laying cobblestone pavers (which i bought at home depot today) as a base for our new compost tumbler (to complement the bin, which i thought was useless, but is in fact ready to be reassembled and used again -- score!).
Approximately 150 COD students took part in “Life Happens!,” an interactive event designed to help students become financially savvy and better understand budgeting, savings, credit, credit scores and debt.
More than 200 students participated in a recent “Life Happens!” event hosted by the College of DuPage Office of Student Financial Assistance that focused on fiscal responsibility. This interactive program, similar to the famous board game, helped students negotiate the ups and downs and realities of life as they visited different stations that took them through career, family and lifestyle choices. The inaugural event is part of a COD Financial Literacy program that helps students become financially savvy and better understand budgeting, savings, credit, credit scores and debt. COD students took part in “Life Happens!,” an interactive event designed to help students become financially knowledgeable. Based off the board game “Life,”™ students made their way through career, family and lifestyle milestones, discovering which aspects of life can be planned and which are determined by chance.
The Office of Student Financial Assistance recently hosted an interactive event called “Life Happens!” During the free program, nearly 120 students completed interactive activities mirroring the ups and downs of real-life financial situations, including the selection of careers, marital status, children and lifestyle choices (whether to shop at thrift stores vs. shopping brand-names or using public transportation vs. buying a 2015 BMW 3 Series car). At the end of the series of events, students then analyzed the consequences of these life occurrences and decisions.
