Große Königslibelle

A Four-spotted Chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata) looking as if it is also a Four-legged Chaser but the front two legs are tucked behind its eyes.

Mature male Broad-bodied Chaser (Libellula depressa) posing well at Maulden, Bedfordshire, UK.

Blaue Federlibellen

A rather handsome looking Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum), or so I thought.

My irst conformed sighting of a female Desert Darter (Sympetrum sinaiticum) was in copula.

This photo does not have the quality of my other photos but it was the best I could get without falling in the pond. :-)

Do you see the 3. dragonfly flying around in the blurry background?

In honour of a camera that I would love to have had a chance to play with, the Fuji GX617 panoramic medium format, here's what it might have made of a female Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum), had the dragonfly had the patience. :D
