Here is our lovely old boy, Stitch, aka the Stupid One. He has featured in every 365 since 2012 and has a Flickr album to himself! He is getting on in years and has not been himself recently. We're hoping it is a blip but it maybe that his dog years are finally catching him. He grew up with the kids and puts up with a lot, including me often taking pictures of him! He will be sorely missed when he does go off to play ball in the sky but he has had a good life. Fingers crossed for some more time with him.

It is funny how regularly K2’s pisé and position is identical to Kennedy’s. They’re not related by birth but are so amusingly in synch. Even in sleep.

When Nadja slept on the beach we used the time to build a fence and warning signs around her. :)

Pipit, Tinbie and Tima were very tired once our visitors left! They stayed like this for several hours.
She's only 8+ lbs., smaller than the cats, but she manages to keep them in line. Healthwise, she's failing, but hanging in there with 'magic' heart pills twice daily.
A warm sleeping puppy, that is. The aftereffects of 2 solid hours of wrasslin'.
Note the sleeping hierarchy: Bailey gets her favorite quilt. Vega gets the bed that Bailey despises. Astro (poor baby) gets the floor.

The phrase has come to apply to a vast swath of situations in which one might poke something that's better left alone.
Applicable in this case, as our Rolo was at the Vet's office earlier this week. An ear infection has (sort-of) sidelined him, so we thought it best to let him sleep it off.
The saying to "let sleeping dogs lie" is used as a way to not talk about things which have caused problems in the past, or to not try to change a situation because you might cause problems. The worst phrase in his world: Clean your ears?
Waking poor buddy just wouldn't be right!
Elroy must've been deep in some good dreams about chasing crows or perhaps of a nice filet mignon dinner. Whatever, he looks happy & content. :)

Rufus: " Mum said that she had to take a picture of me today as she's taken loads of photos of Izzy this year and didn't want to leave me out.
I had just come back from my morning walk with Dad and had snuggled down on the bed (as usual) when in she came with the picture making thing. I ask you, what else can she do? Pets just shouldn't have to put up with it, but I did get lovely kisses and cuddles for having been so good, which is one of the best treaties to have.
Mum also says that now she's taken the same number of photos of me and Izzy, which is what she wanted."
