Organized my i-Imagine
After reading lesson one and doing some scribbling I decided to do an exercise from the lesson, draw a piece of fruit. On the left is my first attempt. I tried to do too much, too many layers, although I do like the top pencil marks showing. So I turned the peach for another view and tried it again, this time attempting to exercise some restraint. I think it's better but still doesn't have the freshness I was hoping for.
- my friend is taking a photography class
- since I don't have a DSLR, can't take the class
- so, she is teaching me !
- oh, what a job she has ( not going to tell her though )
- this was one of lessons... focus on moving object while background fades out
- think I got it
- but the other one ... background in focus while ducks show movement
- flunked that !
- awful !!
- so, shall have fun with her as she has homework
- feel free to give me your opinions
- be nice, please !

I set the ISO low since we were outside. Then I set the aperture to 5.6 so I would get more in focus. Finally I knew I needed the shutter to be high so I could capture the splashing water.
A group of elementary school kids who had arrived early for the Lamberton Conservatory ribbon-cutting ceremony getting a lesson about (I think) about the sycamore trees in Highland Park
NO INVITES OR ICONS PLEASE
We learned some lessons on the first day.
1. Sit in the shade as much as possible
2. Don't go to day shows unless you are dying to see the act. It will be too hot to enjoy them otherwise
3. Kate and Claire NEED coffee in the morning. Don't try to deprive them of this. It will take them until late afternoon to reach maximum fun potential. Note how happy claire looks.

Various pics from this years lessons. Horse riding lessons severely curtailed this year still managed into the double figures despite the pandemic, being full time college and work . Had a great run in the summer weather. Made some progress. Looking forward to continuing in the new year and move forward with the canter.🏇 pics taken by instructor and edited in Publisher by me.

Our Allied Health students got hands on this week as they had the opportunity to do some dissections. The lesson overview was the cardio vascular system, the heart chambers and how it all functions #citycollegeGVL #dissection #alliedhealth
We were taking pictures of the street erhu (Chinese violin) player, center with wide brim hat, when he invited my camera club buddy to try the instrument for himself. The reversed role attracted the attention of other erhu players and no sooner, an impromptu lesson in Chinese music broke out. Taken along Grant St. in San Francisco's Chinatown.
