Due to the mild weather in December some of the daffodils are blooming at Tuckton Bournemouth. However January is much colder with a touch of frost.

The California poppy flower (Eschscholzia californica) is famous for its wonderful yellowish orange colour. With a such impressive pigmentation our eyes are totally kidnapped and there no chances to appreciate the lovely structure of this flower. I tried this B&W shot to emphasize the features of this flower except for colour. #LessIsMore.

Well I did it -- I joined the repeat of Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers. Me, who so very seldom ever uses textures, is about to reach outside my comfort zone and expand upon my creativity in ways I have yet to discover.

Here I come, in a whole new way.
