The weekly theme is blue
# 61 in my 100 x challenge - using my nifty fifty.
I will have no internet access again this weekend so Flickr will be taking a back seat again. I'll catch up when I can.

4/30: April 2018 - A month in 30 pictures
14/52: The 52 week challenge _ Negative space.
I've been looking forward to this week's theme as I love negative space and I think it works so well with high key which some of you may have noticed I also love! ;) It's funny though because both of these things are almost second nature to me but when I need to do it for a challenge it's hard to think what to do. I'm always happy to use my vintage tea cups and saucers and these pretty soap roses which were a charity shop find and have been very useful.

Looking up at the new bridge - works well for me in B&W. I used an inversion filter on this to get the effect shown here. Kind of like a negative image.
Here the traffic sign seems to indicate that you do not go to church, and as the church is today (at least in Europe) I am not surprised!

As I say so many and so many times ... the beauty of simple things is very close, more than we think ... this is a very simple image of this beautiful autumn leaf that I found while walking through a mountain area full of nature, I couldn't resist ...

33/366: Project 52 - white on white
It's funny, I love doing white on white but as soon as I have to do it for a challenge, I can't think what to do. This is white copier paper.
Taken with a Pentacon Electric 50mm f1.8, I've had this lens for some time, but kept on ignoring it for my Helios 44-2. I was pleasantly surprised with how sharp this lens is and will definitely be using it more.
This is from a series where i've been wanting to explore minimalism and black & white photography more. I choose some abandoned boats covered in chains, old rope and a busted engine as a good subject.
