"Kodachrome" style personal LR setting

I struggled to get here

but was determined it's true

to see daylight streaming thro;

I feel all alone, no one is near

perhaps others will follow

now I've made the way clear !

Abstraction at sea

Our brave lifeguards perform a vital role and patrol many of our beaches and it is their job to watch people in the water to make sure they remain safe.

Lifeguards put up flags on the beach to show where it is safe to swim. The phrase 'swim between the flags' is an Australian mantra.

The yellow and red flags are a national symbol of where lifesavers would like you to stay, so you don’t get caught in a rip. Rips are where water is calm on the top, but a dangerous under-current can drag you out. The flags mark the area where it is safe to swim.

This is a minimal take on the scene from a local beach one autumn day a few years ago.

I picked a few snowdrops to bring in to photograph as they are not in the brightest spot in the garden. I bought this little trio of vases while on holiday in Anglesey last week. I love to bring a souvenir for the home...even better if it can double as a photo prop. I may have bought some other things to (such as the star) Don't tell my husband! ;)

It's a beautiful day today and I would have loved to go out with my camera but the housework was calling me...I just hate using that filthy word...so I have been busy cleaning windows and paintwork. I gave Bruno a bit of a haircut too. So it's been a busy day and when it came to thinking about my POTD I thought it seemed a shame not to use these beautiful snowdrops again...so here they are in all their high key glory. I have another version where I put a texture over but my husband preferred this one...what does he know? I may post the other one for Sliders Sunday.

It is oh so q.......
