Even if you go for it and it doesn’t work out - you still win. You still had the guts to head straight into something that frightened you, that type of bravery will take you places...
finding little bits of gold tucked away on a forgotten folder of a hard-drive isn't as nice as discovering them in film sleeve envelope or a buried photo album... but I'll take it nonetheless.

“Imaginary Floral Landscape” — An imaginary floral lenscape of receeding spring petals.
This feels like a floral version of my “imaginary landscape” photographs in which I push the interpretation of the image significantly, to the point that I feel it is best to acknowledge what is going on. (To many photographers and flower-lovers it is obvious that this is to a “what I saw” photograph, but more a “what I imagined” photo.) The starting point was a photograph I made using a macro lens and shooting across a group of small flowers.
The boundary between real and imaginary in photographs is much less obvious that some observers may realize. If you know what you are looking at, it is not a secret that photographs are usually the photographers interpretation of the subject, not a simple reproduction. To be honest, this is more or less a feature of photographs — they cannot really be full, objective records of things, and some element of interpret figures in virtually all photographs.

Blomar som aldri døyr
Den beste blomen i verdi,
som lyser på land og øy,
han tirer og angrar, omsider
han visna må, og døy.
Lell veit eg ein blom i verdi
som evig i bløming står.
Den blom er den Herre Jesus,
den store Frelsaren vår.
Eg veit ogso andre blomar
som blømer i æva all.
Dei trur på den Herre Jesus.
Dei fylgde hans høge kall.

We entered an empty field to take photos of the snow, and were suddenly surrounded by a dozen horses looking for treats.
It was magical.

My son came with me for another shoot this morning. It was quite cold but once again it was great to spend time together and admire the scenery.
We had quite a bit of snow yesterday. Combined with a beautiful sunrise it was quite a sight this morning.
