A present arrived on Friday. This is already heading the pack as one of my favorite lenses. Once the D3 arrives, the 28mm will go on the D300 and this will end up on the D3 a majority of the time. Fantastic glass...

Unscrewed the back element until it hit 99% of infinity focus. After that I took some transparent tape to make sure the back element is locked at this position.
Warning! Don't try this if you are using this on a daily basis. Their is a change that the back element might come of, this could damage your sensor.

Something weird happened with the lens. Coating on the front glass element is slowly changing overtime

If this lens could talk I bet it would have some great stories, It is a little worn out all around and was definitely used by its previous owner. The lens is in great shape though and the price was right 100 baht (3.20) USD. Great for big city pics and landscapes.

This is one of the two drawers that I store the lenses I don't use often. A lot of manual glass plus some of my special purpose lenses. No L glass yet but I do love some of these lenses a lot! The second drawer has just as many and then of course my camera bag has a few of my faves in it! Yeah, I got the bug bad!
