Here is one from my ladybug archives. Like most photographers, I love to follow and capture the ladybugs in the garden. As I recall, I took this shot late in the afternoon. The photo was taken in June 2020, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

P.S. I have been very busy lately marking papers and getting my basement ready for this year's crop of vegetable and flower seedlings. Consequently, I am way way behind with my Flickr friends and contacts. I will slowly catch up. Thanks for your patience.

The blue jade is one of my favourite flowers on Maui, though you do not see much of it around anymore. I only know of one little patch in a largely hidden and overlooked spot in Ka'anapali. You can see some in a few upcountry gardens, though. Typically, the blossoms grow on long hanging vines. This photo was taken in March 2019, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

P.S. I'm very busy in the garden.

Here is another shot from my extensive ladybug archives. I took the photo in my garden, where ladybugs are often a common sight. :) The photo was taken in June 2020, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay safe.

This is the next shot in my alien tentacle series. I took these shots of kangaroo paws during a visit to Butchart Gardens. I was surprised to see these flowers now growing in parts of Canada. As you can probably tell, I'm experimenting with different bokehs in this series. For those who may be curious, these are all natural bokehs and not contrived in any artificial way. The shots were taken in August 2017, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

Here is another shot from my garden. I let me fennel grow quite tall and flower to attract bees. Although we have had a fairly wet and cool summer, the bee population around here seems stronger than usual. :) The photo was taken in August 2020, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

P.S. I am still quite busy with school start up. I hope to catch up soon. Thanks for your patience.

This is a photo of a malachite butterfly rest on what I believe is some type of pitcher plant. If anyone can give me a positive ID, I would appreciate it. I know there were some nearby. For those who my be unfamiliar with pitcher plants, they are carnivorous and consume insect. Therefore, it would unwise for this lovely butterfly to explore this plant too closely (as far as I can recall lit flew away safely). The photo was taken in August 2018, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

P.S. I am very busy with work right now, so I have fallen way behind with my Flickr contacts.

Here is another shot of a lovely white tree nymph feeding on a colourful heliconia. The shot was taken during my visit to Victoria's Butterfly Gardens. If I were a butterfly, I would be attracted to this flower, too. :) The photo was taken in August 2018, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

Here is a photo from the archives. As I recall, I photographed this hungry bee feeding on the Moroccan mint blossoms in my garden. Once again, I have applied a couple of artistic flourishes to the original photo. The shot was taken in July 2020, with my old but trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

I took this shot in m garden. This year I added Mexican sunflowers to the garden. They offer great colour and attract bumble bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and other insects, such as this little emerald green fly. See large. The photo was taken in July 2022, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

Like many of you who are fortunate enough to have a backyard garden, I like to photograph its many inhabitants. This is the first of a series of macro shots where I experiment with different types of natural bokeh. Your input is welcome. The photo was taken in May 2019, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy!

I photographed this lovely Mexican sunflower in my garden. Bumblebees and butterflies are attracted to it, so I always plant a few in my garden. The photo was taken in October 2022, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

P.S. I am very busy in the garden planting spring flowers and vegetables. :)
