Barbarossa Pfalz Kaiserswerth

(ruins of imperial palace)

On the boundaries of the picturesque centre of Kaiserswerth, the ruins of lengendary Emperor Barbarossa's medieval palace directly by the riverside are what is left of one of the most important castles on the Rhine.

The imperial palace, originally dating from the 10th century, was built under the rule of Emperor Heinrich III and enlarged between 1174-1184 by Emperor Barbarossa, when he transferred the toll from the Netherlands to Kaiserswerth and needed a fortress to control the Rhine.

The imperial palace complex is accessible in summer (Mon - Fri from 15.00 - 19.00 hrs, Sat, Sun + holidays from 10.00 - 19.00 hrs). The idyllic Burgweg with its unique Linden avenue affords a magnificent view of the palace throughout the year.

Also worth visiting are Kaiserswerth's picturesque baroque houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and St. Suitbertus Bascilica on Stiftsplatz, a triple-naved Romanesque pillar basilica with gilded shrine holding the relics of Saint Suitbertus.

How good is your mustache wax? Well, I put my @canyouhandlebar mustache wax in yesterday, slept on it and played with it a little this morning. Bang! I’m ready for another day of all day hold.

So their Primary medium hold is amazing for shaping. Low heat from a hair dryer until shinny. Apply and let set(about 10-15 minutes). You can blow cooler air on it to speed it up. Then repeat with the Secondary strong hold.

Sure, I slept on it. It was a little mushed this morning. I just reshaped and with no further application.

I like to think I have my favorites, but I do like to change it up a little. Every big handlebar starts as stubble.

Me, before this handlebar, which is actually my first ever handlebar (the 2018 one doesn’t count, too much trimming in the middle), I didn’t know how it was going to turn out. You know how I found out? I let it grow. I took care of it with quality beard care products. I trained it. Heck, I even changed the way I ate and drank.

In the 20 months I grew out a big beard, no 2 days were the same. What I can tell you is that I grew my beard. Sure, there were some beards I would look at in awe, but I grew the best beard I could.

The big key for me was great beard care. I found really awesome stuff with @canyouhandlebar. 3 things I would recommend.

1) stop using head shampoo and get beard shampoo. Head shampoo can strip out oils and leave the skin and hair dry and itchy.

2) beard oil. A good combination of essential and premium oils really help keep your beard its healthiest.

3) dry oil beard balm. This leave in conditioner applied to the outside of the hair also helps keep your beard hair it’s healthiest. Their addition of beeswax helps with fly away hairs.

Other than that, give it some time to fill in. Let it grow.

I've decided to show a bit more of the town in which I live. Hannibal, Missouri is known as the home of the lengendary Author, Mark Twain.
