Haunted by the lengend of a better past...
An afternoon spent on the path beside the railway line between Cargo Fleet and Grangetown. I don't need to know what will pass by, I just know that it will, and that mostly all will be hauled class 37s, of the heavy weight refurbished subclass that has recently arrived at Thornaby depot. To the uninitiated, this is a forbidding place, dust, noise, the heaviest industry surrounds, an alien landscape, and that includes myself. I have before this day passed through and marvelled. A day out to Saltburn, I will maybe have been eight years old. So many sidings, wagons, industry, the promise of exotic locos, and the unforgettable stench of sulphur. Eyes on stalks, such a young lad.. Periodically since I have returned. The stench soon became filtered out though the coke ovens didn't. The iron and steel making, and the rolling mills all retreated east towards Redcar, they had been receding away at a steady pace since the 1970s when they reached the eastern edge Middlesbrough. Those who know the place know how savage the passing of time has been. The final vestiges, once the largest blast furnace in Europe by Redcar is now under the process of demolition. One alien world is replaced by another...Those who know it can only look.
And the title ? Listening to various musics whilst dealing with this, what will be a mini series, well this one just seemed so appropriate..

Nordwestlich des 120-Seelen-Grabendorfes Winkl (GM Röhrenbach, HO) steht an einem Feldweg dieser etwa 3m hohe Sandstein-Figurenbildstock aus zwei verschiedenen Epochen. Er ruht in 481m SH im Ried "Kirchfeld" auf einem im 19.Jhd. errichteten Fundament. Darauf ein viereckiger Schaft aus der Renaissance. Er hat unterhalb einen hohen viereckigen Fussblock auf dem sich ein achtseitiges Mittelstück befindet. Seine Fasung wird durch runde, breite gestufte Zungen begrenzt. die auch wieder zur vierseitigen Form zurückführen. Am Mittelstück ein würfelförmiges Schulterstück das an seiner Rückseite, nach Rotter (2005), ein Wappen angeheftet hat mit einer Pflugschar und einem Ochsenjoch darüber, heute stark abgewittert. Unter dem Wappen das Stiftungsjahr 1542 (Renaissance). Am Schaft eine vorspringende typische Renaissance Kragenplatte die unterhalb stark gekehlt ist und oberhalb an ihren vier Ecken dreieckige Nasen zeigt. Auf der Kragenplatte ein Figurensockel auf dem die Figurengruppe "Maria Dreieichen" aufliegt. Sie zeigt die sitzende gekrönte Gottesmutter Maria die ihren toten gekrönten Sohn nach der Kreuzabnahme liebevoll auf ihrer Schoss in ihren Armen hält. Hinter der Pieta überragen die lengenderen Drei Eichen. Ursprünglich stand das Renaissance-Lichthaus etwa 100m südwestlich vor dem Ort und markierte dort Pestgräber zur Pest von 1541. Irgendwann kippte der Pfeiler und das filigrane Lichthaus zerbrach. Im frühen 19.Jhd. wurde der Pfeiler an seinem heutigen Standort neu aufgerichtet und die klassizistische Drei-Eichen-Pieta aufgesetzt. Normal markieren diese Pietas den Weg zum nahen Marienheiligtum in Drei Eichen, jedoch an dieser Stelle führt kein Pilgerweg dorthin vorbei. Ein bekanntes Restaurierungsjahr war 1991.

I have a settlement being made right now but at the moment I don't have enough bricks left so it might be a little longer until I get that posted.
Anyway, I made this before I even went on my holiday, but never got round to posting it, I know it is not my best, but I have a HUGE project in store for y'all.

Before this bridge is built, there is a simple cable & pully transporter to transport people & goods from one moutain to the other.
In actual fact, the cables still can be seem. But I decided to touch it up, so as not to distract the whole view of this beauty.
It is amasing & I am impressed that how the ancestors build such transport system suspended in the air with almost 1mile apart between the 2 points.
With the 3 Gores Da Ba project, the new township on the left would house nearly 1millions families.
Once the Da Ba project completed, the water level would be up by another 200m from the present, the lengend of the little river below the bridge can be service by big ship rather than the traditional small woodern boat.
I am told that they have the worksmen who are also Kung Fu masters' whom able to applied their Kung Fu to do the jobs. So as to put the cable & pulley up there about 3,XXX years ago.
On the issues of putting up the new bridge. I was not there to witness it. However, I do know that they have the scaffoldings done from both slopes of the mountain. They then build from both side to joint it together.
I did visited something like these in Bai T Castle in Chong King region, further up stream of Yang Zi River & is belong to Sichuan province.
Can you feel & see the pollutions that created by us.
We shall be destroyed by our own doing!!!!!!

This is the Yellow Crane Plaza, It was 1st built over 1,7XX years ago ( Some time 223A.D. in the 3 Kingdom era) mainly with wood.
From my appraisal, the building is actually built on a 300 -400ft elevation. Physical building is about 8 floors high. The 1st floor is about 40ft tall. Each floor is about 15ft high from floor to ceiling. These total for the physical height without the thrush & the roof part is 160ft high.
When including the thrush & roof it is estimated at 200ft.
The plaza have undergone many ups & downs.
It is still stood strong & healthy @ WuHan near Yang Zi river.
My computer is having Virus attack again with the wuauclt.exe keep showing up, since 8.30pm , I am attempting to resolve it.
I read from the google search, this virus is from Microsoft window lives auto updates program.

The Mercedes-Benz W196 was the Mercedes-Benz Formula One entry in the 1954 and 1955 Formula One seasons, winning 9 of 12 races entered in the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss.
Remarkable firsts included the use of desmodromic valves and fuel injection developed by Mercedes engineers through experience gained on the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter engine during World War II.
The legendary 300SLR was derived from the W196 for the 1955 World Sportscar Championship season.
Monza (streamline) Type:
The W196's delayed debut on the 1954 French Grand Prix circuit saw the introduction of the aerodynamic aluminum "Type Monza" body for the high speed track at Reims-Gueux, Fangio and Karl Kling claiming a 1-2 finish and youngster Hans Herrmann posting fastest lap. The same body was later used at Monza, where it picked up its nickname.

I heard this on the radio the other day that on August 13th Les Paul - The legendary guitarist and inventor, whose 'solid-body electric guitar' changed the course of 20th-century music, died at the age of 94.. At the same time I was also hearing about the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock this weekend.... So I looked up a bit of research on both as i thought both warranted some kind of tribute.
I found this fascinating interview with Les Paul in 2008 at the age of 93!!!

What a lengend. He had a major influence on a number of renowned guitarists... including a few of my faves such as Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, BB King and John Lee Hooker.
I recently found these old photos of me. Taken when I was around 5 and 13. Both with a 'musical' influence... The one of the left is taken @ 1971... a couple of years after Woodstock. That's Dad's guitar. We had this little thing going. I'd get up real early before he went to work and sit with him while he played his guitar.. He's even let me sneak a cup of coffee with him... It was out little 'special time'. %-)
So I kind of grew up with music. I LOVE the guitar... but never managed to master it myself. Although my Father did and my Brother is also a brilliant guitarist. A lot of my musical influence comes from my Mother too. She had some great records when I was growing up too. Like me, she's never mastered playing an instrument but has a huge respect and appreciation for those who can! %-)
As a teenager.. Led Zeppelin was my favourite band. I was amused and pleased to find this old photo of me in my Lep Zep T-shirt. I was SO gutted when they spit up. They were one band I always wanted to see. (Then I discovered Pink Floyd!) I assumed Led Zep were at Woodstock, but have since discovered that their manager 'declined the offer' opting for a solo concert on the same weekend at the Ashbury Park Convention Hall in New Jersey. So I can't really link this photo to Woodstock.. but I can link it to Les Paul, cos Jimmy Page helped immortalise the Les Paul Guitar! %-)
