Arrived to Old Leigh early clear skies,wished I had stayed in bed,Hey presto clouds appeared from the north east just in time for sunrise.

Getting back to last month's visit to the Great Teton National Park. We took a great hike early one morning to Spring and Leigh Lakes. Such a beautiful hike. Easy trail - nice, flat and well groomed. Hiked a total of five miles - so not too bad.
This is Leigh Lake. By this time of the morning the alpine glow was long gone giving way to bright sunny skies. A bit of wind kept away any reflections of the mountains. Final processing was a bit tough as there was some pretty bad contrasting light. But I think this image does justice to the scene.

An afternoon at Leigh Woods in Bristol at the weekend. In the woods it was still very green but on the edge of the woodland there were some great Autumn colours. This silver birch (?) caught my eye. A bit abstract.

What a fantastic day we had. High temps, a high tide around noon. I wandered down to the old town with a sandwich and a cool drink and watched the world go by, slowly.

A short hike with a huge payoff. The views are astounding, the lake was crystal clear, and the weather was perfect. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better spot for a picnic.
