Tom loves to build wooden models and so he was tasked to take on the future trade and build matching models to his ideas. He built the trade cantor and a nice idea of a ship-through. So Tom became the expert in the field of trading strategy for the Klan. Young and wild - but smart and well-read.

On Noordimma, my island on the Nine Kingdoms RPG which I play on www.RogueBricks.de, they were in need of a watchtower.

After a few weeks the werk was done on the island and the Clan of Normen had their first tower, based near their first settlement Hammvåsta. This tower will be part of a bigger wall which will be build later in the RPG.

Just a small castle build again and nothing special. Loved to put the viking minifigs in it and to build a little bit castle again.

Pippi Longstocking is, next to Sesame Street, The Muppet Show and Maya the Bee, one of my earliest childhood memories as far as television shows are concerned.

That's why I built a MOC for the current contest "Childhood Memories" on www.RogueBricks.de based on the stories, books and movies of the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren: The Villa Villekulla.

In addition, a Figbarf was created with some of the main characters: Pippi Longstocking herself, her two best friends Tommy and Annika Settergren, (buccaneer) Captain Efraim Longstocking, the two police inspectors Kling and Klang.

The two gangsters Blom and Dunder-Karlsson are hiding - of course ;)

During building I had to make some compromises concerning the colors and the size of the MOC. However, I think it's easy to see what it is. With the Figs I have placed some references to individual scenes. Maybe you'll discover some more of them?

'NO - I will not hang you in the tree next to your friends, BB8!'

It is the time of the year again where we look for a beautiful tree and a nice christmas decoration. Since I saw the first time BB8 I wanted to build that tree with the decorated round bricks. Luckily LEGO gave us some more designs.

Have a nice christmas time, guys.

My entry for the second round of the RogueOlympics. This time the the theme is "Adventure". And as always in the Olympics you are only allowed to use a max of 101 parts.

I had a lots of ideas this time. And I also wanted to show another Little Robot. But after all I chose a pun which works better in English than in German though: |Adventure = Apeventure

I built a little Indiana Jones scene with 92 parts - and an ape of course. For me Indy was the one I wanted to be as a school kid. I saw his films and I also had the LEGO sets later. He was the one who made me interested in history and forgotten cultures. And of course finding treasures.

Hope you like this small MOC.

On monade the third round will start. If you are interested in participating, just visit www.RogueBricks.de

You will find all informations there in English and German.

Right now there are a lot of contests to join in and I am really happy to be able to build some stuff.

This one is made for the #letsbuildtogether initiatief.

The topic is to build something about family, friends or friendship.

Because of the lockdowns me and my family or friends are not able to be together with more than 2 people at the moment. We are also not allowed to travel around.

Looking forward to these moments again. Travel. With and to family and friends. And discover lovely or hidden places. Like a small waterfall somewhere in the woods to go swimming.

Second Round of Iron Forge.

Challenge: Use the parts 4522 (Tool Hammer/ Mallet) and part 4006 (Tool Spanner Wrench/ Screwdriver).

Need to check out the entries of the other participants. You also should do that. Maybe with this Bumblebee Drone?

Third entry: Bumblebee Drone

Water is life. The Romans also knew this. And so, in 19 BC, the consul Marcus Agrippa had the Aqua Virgo aqueduct built next to the Pantheon to supply the thermal baths he had built. This aqueduct - in continuous operation since antiquity - carries water from the Sabine Mountains over a distance of more than 25 kilometers to Rome.

My MOC shows such a Roman aqueduct. It is another contribution to the annual challenge on www.RogueBricks.de

Nothing special, but the arch bricks fit very well for this building.

Stretchy's Domino Rally paradise

My contribution for the current round of RogueOlympics. Topic of the week: Reaction.

I immediately had to think of my kindergarten days and the first self-constructed experiments in which a reaction was in the foreground of the fun: A domino rally.

Again I built in a Little Robot, this time Stretchy who seems to love this fun too. 88 parts in total.

Second Round of Iron Forge.

Challenge: Use the parts 4522 (Tool Hammer/ Mallet) and part 4006 (Tool Spanner Wrench/ Screwdriver).

,Check this out, mate. I am (almost) done for today.'

8th entry: Chess figures

Just another small one for the ongoing RogueOlympics on www.RogueBricks.de

This time I built a Nazrul from the movie LOTR. I used 94 elements.

Contest entry for the recent contest on www.RogueBricks.de "Adventure Awaits".

The theme gives pretty much possibilities, but Indiana Jones and Johnny Thunder came directly into my mind.

As it is June, the son of Johnny has to go on an adventure to find the golden bananas on Skull Island. HIs name? Juney Thunder - (as Simon and Markus would say ^^)

One of my first autobiographic MOC :)

That's my current feeling regarding my job.

Time to change ?

I was taught that in macro photography, less is more. I've been following that teaching as best I can, at least I think I have. I ended up posting my favorite shot of this scene first but I ran across this one and it just caught my eye again.

Star Wars - The Mandalorian

This time I went back to the Roman Empire and Roman Republic for the annual year challenge on www.RogueBricks.de

I built an arena where gladiators fought. These gladiators were armed combatants who entertained the audience in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals like lions, and condemned criminals.

From left to right I built modified figures: a modified retarius, a hoplomachus and a murmillo.

My latest piece for ToyPhotographers.com is up, and it's all about shooting in the rain! I examine a few of the challenges, and provide a handful of solutions that might actually make it worth getting soaked for your art. Check it out here!

AT-ST on Sulust by a rainy day.

To create this MOC I was inspired by Capital Supremacy game mode in Star Wars Battlefront II. I decided to recreate quite well known location on Venator map from Clone Wars Era.

Main task was to reconstruct all important details and overall look of the location as close as possible, yet still maintaining good level of details and variety in design. To add more interesting appearance to the creation, I made various kinds of greebling on the sides and top.

I used different minifigures to reflect variety of players and character skins in the game.

Definitely let me know what do you think about this creation.

I encourage to check out these videos for more in-depth look ;)

“Dracomata”

Drago means dragon in Latin, and I had to combine it with automata as this seems like some Victorian clockwork. This is a clip and bar build, with almost no studful connections.

~80 hours over two weeks.

The car from my recent MOC 'Great Depression & Prohibition 1929' because I was asked to show it.

I had no specific model of a truck in my mind and just started to build. After all I named it 'Ol Lorry'.

Nice medium sized set.

This LEGO Star Wars MOC set in the timeline of Age of Resistance after Battle of Crait was made in August and took dozens hours to create it.

After destruction of Hosnian System and Capitol of the New Republic. First Order quickly started gaining control of the all most important system in the Galaxy.

I imagined that they also returned to Takodana and built here a military base for the First Order Army to secure nearby systems.

I came up with idea for this MOC with building the turret which was heavily inspired by the huge turrets seen on the Starkiller Base (of course here in a smaller scale). Then I knew I wanted to include in the MOC some kind of tube with water coming from the base.

My basic idea for the base was to have it with the square and raw shape but with corner at the angle. Also important for me was to get the right feeling of the First Order architecture.

Let me know what do you think about this creation ^^

My latest LEGO Star Wars creation presents small 91st Recon Corps outpost located in the mountains. thus outpost is very important for the Republic as a early warning system before the attack from CIS forces in this sector.

Let me know what do you think about it ^^

This time I built the hobby room for the Little Robot Stripy. He loves to built robots, this time a monochrome one - which perfectly fits in the 101 parts Rogue Olympics challenge, round 3 with the theme "Einfarbig | Monochrome"

For the whole MOC I only used 101 parts. But of course again all over the LEGO teams. Can you spot a Galidor and the Large Figure or all the DUPLO parts?

Happy Thanksgiving!

One of the things I’m most thankful for this year is my art and this toy photography community. Both have helped get me through a whirlwind of a year. Thank you to everyone who’s viewed my work, listened to or come onto the podcast, read one of my articles, left a comment, asked me a question, or shot toys alongside me. I hope you all have a great weekend with friends and family, and eat way too much food!

Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back - Snowspeeder crash site at the Battle of Hoth

This creation I made in August and it presents duel between Gar Saxon and Bo Katan in my interpretation. Originally I was going to make recreation of this duel seen in the Episode 10 of Season 7 but there wasn't much to build besides dark elevator, so I decided to make my own build inspired by TCW.

I'm happy how I captured architecture of the Mandalore which was a interesting and unique building experience. It was fun to present those great and new minifigures at the time.

War Never Changes...

Hi everyone, meet my gaze on the Fallout Wasteland.

I made this creation back in November for the occasion of second season of Star Wars The Mandalorian TV Series. I thought that it will be cool idea to return to origins of Din Djarin's character before watching development of his character in Season 2. I based my MOC on Clone Wars Flashback scenes seen through the entire first season of The Mandalorian. There young Din Djarin was saved by Death Watch and taken as a foundling to their group.

"I did nawt hit her I did naaaaawt! Oh, hi Mark."

The Disaster Artist opens this week, and I've heard amazing things! I can't wait to see it.

Anyone else stoked for Stranger Things season 2?

A shot for the Star Wars Day !

My entry for the 6th round of the 101 parts challenge "RogueOlympics" on the German LUG RogueBricks.

This weeks theme is "Nature" and the first thing came in my mind was building a tree. And of course I had to add a Tiny Robot. This time it is the Little Robot Messy. And he is making the woods "messy".

Again 101 parts for this MOC. And again some older parts and some you wouldn't expect. Love the seaweed leaves though. They are coming with the new LEGO Ideas Winnie The Pooh set. Guess, my tree also could stand there somewhere deep in the 100 acre wood. :)

Happy Batman Day, everyone!

Story behind this MOC:

My creation presents one of many world controlled by the First Order in time of their galactic domination. Stormtroopers meanwhile recon patrol on newly conquered world, discovered old ruins, where Resistance spies had their precious communication device.

Desperate and badly armed Resistance fighters decided to send the warning to other fighters on the planet and do their final stand against the iron grip of the First Order...
