At Doornenburg Castle

Used bricks from a Harry Potter polybag.

Found deep within the oceans of Historica, the Giant Valyrian Anglerfish is only seen by surface dwellers when its corpse washes ashore.

Like other species of anglerfish, it is subject to extreme sexual dimorphism between females (measuring roughly 30 feet in length) and males (measuring roughy 5 feet in length).

Built as part of CCC XX (Fantasy Creatures category) and part of my entry for BricksCalibur (Labor of Love Category).

Do you remember that Golden winged guy with the golden helmet from the new Lego minifigures series 15? Don't know why, but he inspired me to make this custom))

Here is a new picture I took with some LEGO Black Falcon knights I’ve thrown together recently. These figures will reappear soon, stay tuned.

Order of the Falcon: Monastery by the Eastern Sea

🔳 50" x 30" x 46" (4' x 2.5' x 4')

🔳 50,000 - 100,000 pieces

🔳 120+ Hours

🔳 7 Weeks - Late April to Mid-June

🔳 First and last show at Brickworld Chicago 2022

🔳 Inspiration: The build is inspired in three large ways:

- Art I found online – check out my Instagram post to see it.

- Beautiful Christian buildings I've visited: Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in D.C., Church of the Intercession in NYC, St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, & Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in NYC

- My Love of the Lego Castle Theme: Always been present, especially in my childhood, but I've never really built in heavily. My favorite sets include: 7019 Viking Fortress, 10193 Medieval Market Village, and 7036 Dwaves' Mine. Most recently, I loved 21325 Medieval Blacksmith which is what set me on the Black Falcon kick.

🔳 Help & Support:

Truly could not have done it in the small window of time without some great people:

Simon Liu - did the beautiful and oft mentioned waterfall, the waves/shoreline, & other small details. Came out to Illinois early in advance of Brickworld to help get me across the finish line! Always cheering me on! Everyone needs an accountabuildibuddy!

Nick Jensen - graciously allowed me to come and borrow both the photo studio and a good deal of his time in generating these AMAZING photos. Also came over early pre-Brickworld and helped with any weird, small details I threw at him! An OG!

My friend Noah - did some great bush & plant repetition a week before the show. King!

Steve K. - came by during the wee hours of Thurs night / Friday morning of Brickworld and did something that I cannot remember now 😅 - I know it was important!

Dan L. - a CRUCIAL final Bricklink order!

Friends and Family - so grateful for all your support!

🔳 Credit Where Credit Is Due:

- The rounded bush in bright green used 4 times on the terrace and 3 times by the "river" was by fullplatebuilds in the Micro Trees post.

- The smaller trees on the front left and right of the terrace (best seen in image #1 in the carousel on the left hand side) was a modified version of cheeseystudios' in his great Hogwarts Courtyard build.

- Deer technique is an ever so slightly modified version of littlejohn_brickbuilt's in the fantastic Sabishi Monastery.

- I found the 5-flex-tube tree technique somewhere online but I cannot find it now! Fits in the base of 1 stud surrounded by stacked 1x2 rounded plates.

- Once again, 8th image in the carousel is the waterfall done by Simon Liu.

🔳 Some other random notes on the build:

- The MOC has a footprint of 96x192 in studs

- It weights approx. 50-60 lbs. Hard to tell!

- I was supposed to start in early March...started in late April 😬

- Lighting the stained glass was almost an afterthought. Unfortunately, the walls of the monastery are only 1 brick thick and has a lot of holes for light to peek through. I taped paper along the inside in order to plug these up.

- The story highlight on my profile walks through the entire build from start to finish!

Thanks for viewing!

Got some great pieces from Ktownbricks, so used some of them to build a couple of Knight Minifigs! Expect to see them in a couple of builds and photos in the near future!

Rather rare Lego minifigure from set N20. Was a big luck to find it among 6 packages which I bought from this series. Maybe to modify it a bit with heavy armor and cloak?

Hello! Today I come to you with the first MOC called "The Camp on the Edge of the Kingdom" from Collab called "The War of the Dommerie". The building shows a camp of the warriors of the Dommeri kingdom who, after capturing their opponents, decided to deal with them in a very brutal way.

“An old knight is enjoying his retirement and pursuing his hobbies after years of battles and quests.” www.flickr.com/gp/193188437@N05/g50n43 Here’s a link to the album. Howdy flickr! I’ve built with Lego for as long as I can remember, but I’ve only recently gotten back into it, and this is the first castle MOC I’ve built in a long time. I would appreciate any comments or feedback, hope you enjoy!

This MOC was built as part of a collaboration called „War for Dommeria” with another builder (MOCart on Instagram). On this MOC, I showed a scene in which the Dommeri troops are preparing to clash with the troops of the invading kingdom, Stilvelt. I am extremely pleased with the presence of this MOC and the techniques I used in it.

Hi, Today I present you a rework of the vintage Lego Castle set “Trasure Cart” 1463. I was enjoying making it because my Dad was super happy to look at his childhood memories which are repeating in my LEGO Atelier :) I’m so happy with the final look! Hope you guys like it

💡The MOC is now on Lego Ideas and I really would appreciate your support!

This is a remake of the Set 6059.

I have a special connection to the Set, because the parallel group in kindergarden had it and sometimes I could play with it - really dig those hinges!

The twist: I wanted to design it as it would be an official #LEGO set. So I used large pieces for example and tried to keep it as simply as possible (okay that didn’t work out in every way😅, but hey, I tried!). Also I tried to incorporate as many play features as possible. So here you go.. Would you buy this set today? 😉

How do you pass the time when there is no enemy at your gates?

Here is my #bringbacklegocastle build for January and it’s the Set 6057 Sea Serpent. I had this set as a child and absolutely loved it. Also it was my only set with #legoblackfalcon knights!

As with my December build I wanted to design it as it would be an official #LEGO set and tried to keep it as simply as possible (okay that didn’t work out in every way again😅) I changed the blue colour of the ship fitting to the black knights, which I gave the colour dark red in my last build. The hull is snotted with curved slopes like my Calderian Scouting Ship.

If you like what I build, I would really appreciate a vote on Lego Ideas.

Those are my #bringbacklegocastle build for February &March. It’s a series of set-like MOCs. I try to keep the design as simple as possible, although sometimes I overdo it, so that’s why I like to call it advanced-set-design. Those two are based on 6035 - Castle Guard and 6009 - Black Knight. Imagine sets like those would come out today. They’d be such good army builders.

What do you guys think? Would you buy it today?

Built for Guilds of Historica's Anniversary Challenge (CDC2: Category 1)

www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/187610-c...

from left to right:

Magda : a mysterious chemist with an entirely unknown past. There are no records of them or their work in any of the five guilds - their age, gender, race are all a mystery. Ulriq has deduced that, if those records ever did exist, they were likely wiped from existence by those in power. Magda is too experienced in their field to have not had a history. The only things that are unquestionable is their expertise in their field and their complete sociopathy.

Bastio : an orc soldier who fashions himself as a “survivor”, allying himself with whoever he thinks is the most powerful. He has allied himself with Ulriq, but will betray him at the first sign of weakness. Unbeknownst to Bastio, Ulriq is well aware of this fact; he only tolerates Bastio because he “drives him to be better”.

Ulriq : the mysterious and charismatic leader of the Crimson Knives. Hailing from an influential Nocturnan family, he was sent to Avalonia before Raavage considered the family a threat to his power. With his family subsequently purged, Ulriq was the lone survivor. A year later, he would join a Cedrican commando unit, fighting alongside Kars and Cobold. Parting ways after the war, Ulriq returned home to his native Nocturnus and claimed his family’s hidden wealth. With Raavage’s purported death creating a power vacuum, the whole kingdom is now in chaos, and Ulriq has sought to make a name for himself by any means necessary.

Countess Irina Vachau : living in her isolated castle in northern Nocturnus, she has a prized collection of "vintage bloods" in her cellar. Visitors to her castle also have a nasty habit of disappearing. She insists that she *definitely* isn't a vampire, though.

“As she approached the temple, the brave knight felt an unearthly cold crawl down her spine, spreading across her chain mail like a disease

Before her was a monument of evil, a chapel seemingly older than time itself. So much so, that it appeared as though the rock and stone had grown around the hellish shrine

She looked to the heavens for guidance, a prayer for strength and hope. But her words fell on deaf ears, for not even God himself dared enter these caves…”

My entry to the Subterranean category of the Summer Joust 2022

Vignweek 2023 entry number six. Today I come to you with my MOC for the “Contrasting Reflections” prompt. I chose to build a scene that shows an old Black Raven’s knight watching a young boy training his skills. Now he is sure that future is in safe hands because youngsters have the same spirit as they have.

My third and final entry for Summer Joust 2022 contest.

This time for the very challenging gradient category.

It was my first time for me attempting to build something using only one gradient.

A black knight is wondering around a spooky forest where he encounters a ghost.

I used 8 different shades of green, plus white, black and trans-clear.

Haven't you heard of the songs? You know, the ones that tell of his tale? Listen carefuly. A knight, unlike any other, who bears the wrath and scorch of a dragon. His armor, dressed by the bones and skin of those he slaughtered. His weapon, crafted from the sturdiest of all bones. His swords, able to cut the strongest hide of any dragon...

Let me tell you his tale...for he is the Dragonsbane...

Lots of fun working with this model but hit a roadblock when I ran out of the desired pieces. Thanks to Brickfair, I was able to rectify and managed to not only finish the design (as there is more red than silver) but also improve some of the plating and articulation points that were clunky.

For those who attended Brickfair, this was displayed along with my Frost Hunter and my Beltz droid on the Bionicle table. For me, this build is special as it is the latest in a long line of improvements I've done over the years. While it certainly fits my tastes, I do feel I can improve it with far better techniques. So, for now, have a taste of this piece.

Figbarf of some various blue medieval fellas.

I ordered some Brick Warriors armor pieces recently and have really loved the variety and quality of them, and obviously had to make some guys to fill a classic castle kingdom using them!

Hi guys!

I’m back after a break and I’m really happy to announce that I’m back with something really special. I have worked on this MOC since August and I think that it’ll really make you feel satisfied to look at.

The MOC shows the patrol of Alborne kingdom on their old terrains which were attacked and ruined by their enemies long time ago.

To be honest, I’m really proud how it turned out. Also I have to say that it’s very heartwarming for me that I could be back to you guys after a very hard period of time. Enjoy!

Here is my #bringbacklegocastle build for February. It’s a series of set-like MOCs, that’s why I like to call it advanced-set-design. I know it’s March, but February was really too short this year. 😉 This is a funny one actually. When I thought about this set I instantly thought about a tent, only now when I read the name of the set: Castle Guard - I might misinterpreted the intent of this one. Nevertheless I like how it came together.

It should represent how cool a set of this size would be with two minifigures, a horse and YES it comes with a goat! The perfect army builder set!

What do you guys think? Would you buy it today?

Medieval Watchtower build for some Dragon Knights! The tower by itself would have felt a bit empty, so I attached a small stable next to the tower.

"Didn't I tell you not to open that portal, like, a thousand times???"

Calling her falcon back went a bit wrong!

"The Monarchs' Liberator - The Tyrant Has Been Vanquished"

"Princess Seraphine faught valiently to free the Monarch Kingdom from the tyrant bird, Screech, who had devoured their people for far too long. After a swift victory there is finally peace once more thanks to this mighty mouse..."

Built for Brickscalibur 2024 for the Digitalibur category. I haven' done as much digital building as I normally do throughout a year so it was nice to work on this project and scene depicting a female warrior mouse who has slain the bird enemy of the Monarch Kingdom and is greeted in peace by one of the butterflies. This was created using Bricklink Studio, Cinema 4D, and took 4 days to complete. All made possible with Greyscalegorilla Plugins and Puget Systems machine.
