I purchased these 'MiniBots' over a years ago and they sure have been fun to photograph. I've never been sure about their 'purpose' but as one's imagination stretches....
their purpose eventually comes to life.
I've used these little figures in enough toy photos that I think they will deserve their own album.
27/365 2025 Toy Photo Challenge
I created this moc in a little over one month for TheBrickWiz moc contest, For this moc I drew inspiration from the Ninjago city gardens set but put a Star Wars the Clone Wars twist on it. I recreated a few lesser known scenes from the show including the Martez Sisters workshop, the droid spa exterior and the cantina fives visits while on the run. Along with that I took creative liberates on the roof of the moc to have some bounty hunters fighting to the death.

I did a few modifications to the R2-D2 polybag and figured out that this famous little guy need it his old friend by his side.
the only special part added is the 3mm hose.

Double feature of 1997’s small droid ships, the V-Wing and Cyber Blaster enter the LEGO City!
These tiny old sets were heavy on cool intricate prints. All about the minifigs here, but the V-Wing has some really fun classic space elements and shaping!
‘97 picks up with leg printing, which hadn’t been seen in a space theme since ‘94s Spyrius droid, Major Kartofski. And we’ll see leg prints on their human counterparts next time I look at RoboForce.

Use of the IT-O was carefully controlled by ISB, though some models found their way into the hands of senior Moffs, military intelligence and even CompForce. "Weedul" M8 meets an old-model M6 Moonbase droid.

This Scout-mantis Is used by secret rebel forces to patrol the vast woodlands of foreign planets. It is equipped with two twin laser cannons and has a life form scanner built into its head. It can run up to 30mph and can climb steep cliffs with its magnetic feet.
Tooby is typically assigned to “Dutch” Vander, who flies Gold Squadron’s lead Y-wing. A loyal and attentive droid, Tooby carefully follows the lengthy diagnostics checklists critical to keeping the Massassi base’s Y-wings ready for battle.
I made this droid by simply using the legs and body of R3-S1 and the head of R2-Q2 and erasing the white and black stripe around his head.

I was a huge fan of the Space theme through the entirety of the 90’s, and was probably collecting the most LEGO of my childhood around ‘97, but when I came across this sub-theme I have a blind spot.
Exploriens? for sure. Insectoids and UFO? I was all about it. Robo Raiders? Never heard of ‘em.
Enough of my potential forgetful-ness, check out this funky robot.
This whole theme had some pretty rad prints, awesome neon transparent elements, and really cool mini-figs!

I almost forgot that this Prowler 1000 Exploration Droid was on my upcomming first Republic Commando MOC! Thankfully, I didn't!
These type of droids are normally used by Clones to track down their targets. They've also been seen in Episode III where they were used to hunt down Obi-Wan during Order 66 and some of them saw Darth Vader being reconstructed.
