Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête)

Tale as old as time

Tune as old as song

Bittersweet and strange

Finding you can change

Learning you were wrong

Certain as the sun

Rising in the east

Tale as old as time

Song as old as rhyme

Beauty and the Beast

Used bricks from a Harry Potter polybag.

On Noordimma, my island on the Nine Kingdoms RPG which I play on www.RogueBricks.de, they were in need of a watchtower.

After a few weeks the werk was done on the island and the Clan of Normen had their first tower, based near their first settlement Hammvåsta. This tower will be part of a bigger wall which will be build later in the RPG.

Just a small castle build again and nothing special. Loved to put the viking minifigs in it and to build a little bit castle again.

Found deep within the oceans of Historica, the Giant Valyrian Anglerfish is only seen by surface dwellers when its corpse washes ashore.

Like other species of anglerfish, it is subject to extreme sexual dimorphism between females (measuring roughly 30 feet in length) and males (measuring roughy 5 feet in length).

Built as part of CCC XX (Fantasy Creatures category) and part of my entry for BricksCalibur (Labor of Love Category).

On www.RogueBricks.de we started to play our online LEGO RPG Nine Kingdoms again.

This time we had to build a MOC which shows the beginning of our first colony.

My settlers of the "Clan of Noormen" started to build a first wooden cottage - like they did back in old times in the kingdom of Kurvenheim.

A sunny castle and his troubadour!

Here is my entry for the Through the Seasons category of the Summer Joust 2021, with my build depicting Kyle the Fisherman doing some fishing during the spring season. Overall I'm decently happy with this, most of it was built in a day. There were a few things I would've done differently had I started earlier but I think it turned out pretty good and I'm very happy with my rockwork after not having done any for a long time.

This was done in collaboration with:

Roanoke Handybuck: Summer

Jako of Nerogue: Autumn

Carter Witz: Winter

Sixth and last entry for the actual castle contest "Nine Kingdoms - Blades of Light" on "www.RogueBricks.de"

This one shows a fight in a one of the cities of Kurvenheim, a land of the Nine Kingdoms.

(For this one I had 3 hours. Building onder pressure isn't my thing if you want to to it really good, with a lot of details, but I am happy that I made it anyway.

"My lady! Wherefore dost thou kiss a frog?!"

Looks like our Series 9 Knight is horrified to find the Series 12 Princess making out with a frog. This is another one of those photos I took months ago and just now felt like processing.

Deep in the midst of Nocturnus ,on the border of the towering Rakath Mountains and the deep swamps lies an quite unexpected sight, a cozy hospitable Avalonian house! It turns out this is where Dan has been living in solitude these last few years...

Vanitas painting are a style of still life designed to call to mind the ephemeral nature of life. I have always found this movement particularly compelling among still lifes, so I decided to emulate it for the Medieval Still Life category of Summer Joust 2025

Many thanks to the clever people of the Builder Improvement Initiative for their help refining the presentation.

A MOC I built about 5 years ago: An interpretation of the Prancing Pony.

Unfortunately not well photographed, and meanwhile disassembled.

Maybe you like it anyway 😉

Deep in the east Varlyrian countryside, far from the bustling canals and thriving cities, lies a wonder of Historica. This shining cathedral is one of several holy sites throughout Varlyrio maintained by an order of Priestesses dedicated to keeping these sacred sites in pristine condition.

Here is my newest build, named and based off of art and characters from a fantasy themed card game named "Citadels."

Hope you like it! More pictures on my Instagram: www.instagram.com/p/ChU4sz9LGPd/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Finally a new build! Well actually, this one isn't so much new, as I had initially started it way back in late 2018, but I finally began working on it again last month and completed it. This started as me just wanting to build something castle, and I chose to use sand green for the landscaping for some more muted colors. I ended up using the Tournament Knight CMFs for the figures, to provide a few pops of color. I'm really happy with the foreground of this scene, but less so behind the wall with the houses, as something seems like it's missing to me. But I just wanted to get this done and it is now, so I can move onto finishing up some other projects! Hope you all enjoy!

Here is a video showing some more behind the scenes/details.

Here's my newest build, and also my largest ever! This depicts a meeting between many kings and rulers in a sci-fi/castle/fantasy world. I had started this two years ago but just finally finished it this year for Bricks Cascade 2022. It's not my favorite build ever, but considering I rushed a bunch of it to get it done for the convention I'm still decently pleased with it. Hope you all enjoy!

Fourth entry for the actual castle contest "Nine Kingdoms - Blades of Light" on www.RogueBricks.de"

This one shows the production of cannonballs and parts for weaponry and amor.

It shows a transport cart for some items the soldiers may need for the war against the monsters.

My entry for Summer Joust 2022 - Bridging the Gap category.

Inspired by the assaults on Lothlorien during the war of the ring. The build is not depicting any particular scene from the books, but just trying to capture a mixture of Peter Jacksons darker style, mixed with the classic 1978 cartoon.

Leon was never allowed to suggest another "great idea".

Hey guys! Excuse the lack of posts lately but I have a new one! I hope you enjoy my Numenor moc i did! Was a fun revisit to castle and not gonna lie, I wanna do more! Hope you all enjoy! :)

My build for EmpireLUG's Journey of the Black Falcons collaboration.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been really sick for the past 2 weeks but this week I finally started recovering, and that means that I had a lot of spare time to play LEGO!

Ever since the first moment I opened Flickr, which was a few years before I registered here, I've wanted to build a big medieval house in this whimsical fantasy style, where everything looks like it’s on the verge of collapsing. Luke Watkins Hutchinson is one of the first people who inspired me to build medieval houses, as he is known for his awesome builds in this style.

Unfortunately, I never had enough pieces to create something like this until now. While such a house may seem average for many medieval builders, I struggled to construct anything of this scale for years due to a lack of parts, particularly for the walls. I got a lot of pieces on my birthday in April, which finally gave me the opportunity to build something bigger than usual. Still, I ran out of all lime, light bluish grey slopes and dark brown, but that does not really matter anymore because the MOC is finished.

Also, I want to thank everyone who has been helping me with techniques and useful advice in the BII server on Discord, that really helps me moving forward from adding details to my builds to photographing and editing them. I watched a few videos and read a few articles about colours, editing and photographing MOCs, which also helped me achieve the desired look.

So what I want to say is that building this type of house is something that I’ve dreamed about for a while, and I really hope you’ll enjoy it!

Here is the list of main inspirations for this MOC:

Gloomy Gulch by Luke Watkins Hutchinson

Eldford Barracks-GoC by Roanoke Handybuck

The Pilgrim by Joe (jnj_bricks)

Awakening by Classical Bricks

Fin the farmer by The Maestro

The four seasons - Birth by Brickleas

This is my third entry for Summer Joust for the monastery category! It is by far my biggest entry and one of the tallest things I’ve ever built

Sir Woody the Shirtless was banned from the joust after several account's of showing up shirtless to the kings court. Despite the severe punishment that will be inflicted upon him if caught, he has decided to appear in this joust.

I built this for Brickscalibur's "Where's Waldo?" category.

Built as a gift for a Lion Knight War Hero, the manor stands proudly above the waterfall.

Hey everyone!

This MOC has been collecting dust for almost a year. It was originally built for last years Medieval Manor category, but I never got around photographing it until now. So I'm entering it in the Large Misc. category.

Thanks for looking!

My entry to the 12x12 Vignette category of SummerJoust. This build was inspired by a Post Office seen in Avatar: the Last Airbender that used cubbies to house messenger hawks.

The Elven High Adjudicator oversees a new execution. The sacred tree Saibakan houses an ancient court. Here wanted creatures are put to rest. Often caught by Centaur Bounty Hunters. A perfect trade as the Centaurs are addicted to shrooms, which grows on the heads of former criminals...

Hello y'all! This is my entry into the Summer Joust 2020 tri-color category! I've been wanting to build something like this for a while lately and when I saw the category I gained an excuse to go on ahead and build it! Hope y'all enjoy!

All glory be to God!

In skies so vast, a castle floats high, with sheep and pigs, it drifts on by.

Clouds its walls, ethereal grace, a surreal world, this floating place.

Where woolly, fluff, and oinks reside, a whimsical realm, where dreams collide.

This was built for RebelLUG's Archipelego collab and also Summer Joust's Fantasy heights category. It is a total of 124 studs tall and weights over 22 lbs. The entire structure is supported on a 4x4 pillar!

Special thanks to Noah for writing this poem.

Perched high in the ancient oak, Lorn studied the winding trails below, mapping the safest route for the day’s journey.

His loyal guard Rowan stood close behind, eyes scanning for any hint of danger. The forest was calm, its mossy branches swaying in the warm breeze.

Still, Lorn knew a leader never walked alone, even in the gentlest of woods.

This is a build for Brickscalibur for the Rogues and Outlaws category and for the CCC Castle category! It depicts some outlaws stealing the castle's most valuable possessions under cover of dark.

This is a modified version of a build I made for Brickscalibur last year. This version was designed to be brought to conventions. Took quite a bit of work to complete it all the way since it was just for a scene at first. This gives a bit better focus on the main building.

Inspired by the summer joust challenge to build within a limited color palette. I chose orange since there's a wide range of Lego bricks to choose from. All the grey you see is old grey which to me looks a bit warmer and closer to dark tan.
