Long exposition (1/8s) of a pedestrian walking by the photos of two legends of the Quebec music scene, Diane Dufresne and Karl Tremblay.
So I needed to empty out my box of Marvel Legends tonight. I needed to get pictures of Iron Fist, Sasquatch and Maestro. Most of these were at the bottom.
I don't just tip the box out willy nilly and let them get bashed around, I carefully unpack it and stand the marvels up one by one.. these have been re-arranged slightly, but not to the stage where they are in a dramatic scene or shot. I was quite taken back at how many I have, this doesn't include the figures I have from the HML series or the Fantastic Four Box Set. See the Tags list for the figures or characters in this picture.
New-built Saint 2999 "Lady of Legend" clags its way past the signal box at Bewdley during a Matt Fielding charter at the Severn Valley Railway.
Locomotive: New-build Great Western Railway Saint Class 4-6-0 2999 "Lady of Legend".
Location: Bewdley station, Worcestershire.

Aka; the first appearance of the modern Suicide Squad, which you may well know, is my favorite super-team of all time. After seeing Xenomorph79's shot of the line-up I realized it was one of the major Squads I hadn't completed yet, so I jumped onto that ship.
Flag has an updated torso/legs, and Floyd's toting the gun used to help bring down Brimstone, Boomerang has a bandoleer now, and Tiger is Tiger.
Enchantress however, has a CMF Wacky Witch hat that I painted green and black, and a scarf made from the CMF Judge's robes.
Now let's talk about Blockbuster. I knew if I was gonna make a Bigfig, it was gonna be him, cause I just couldn't find a way to represent him as a standard minifig that I actually like. I've never done a Bigfig before, but for my skills I feel like he turned out pretty okay. Face is a little wonky but, it is in the comics too, so I'm alright with that. Base is just a standard Hulk fig, and indeed he does have his trademark mullet, albeit just painted down his back because a sculptor I am not.
The paint used was Model Masters over a spray-on white primer base for both Blockbuster and Enchantress's hat.
Anyways, I'm stoked to have this classic line-up together at last.

A sad legend that goes back to the 15th century.
Once upon a time, a monk named Cidoine set off on pilgrimage from Conques with his pet monkey (mounine in local patois) and a goat.
As he walked along the edge of the cliff (just above where the village today is), he tripped and fell over the edge.
Fortunately, his belt caught on a tree, saving him and his monkey.
However, as he hung there, he spotted a cave and decided that this was a sign that they should stay right here...
So they did.
Locals took the habit of visiting Cidoine to seek his advice and paid him back with food.
Ghislaine, the 16-year old daughter of Ogier, Lord of Montbrun, regularly came to visit the hermit; so did Renaud, the son of Ogier's fierce rival.
You can guess what happened ... Ghislaine and Renaud fell in love! When Lord Ogier found out, he screamed a curse:
"I swear by the devil, I'd rather you jumped off that monk's rock than marry the son of my rival!"
The distraught Ghislaine went to Cidoine to seek his advice.
The hermit told her to wait for her father to go hunting, then to come to his cave dressed with her best clothes.
When Ghislaine arrived, he dressed his old, blind monkey with her red dress and flung him off the cliff.
Lord Ogier of course believed that he saw his daughter jump to her death! Full of remorse, he recanted his oath and went to see Cidoine, who then revealed the deception.
Ghislaine and Renaud were married in the Montbrun castle, their fathers reconciled, and everyone lived happily ever after.
Except the monkey who was unavailable for comment ...
The site, nestled in the cliff overlooking a meander, has since been known as Le Saut de la Mounine.
It boasts prime views of the Château de Montbrun and the villages nestled on the green banks of the river Lot.

Legend is a male great white shark that some of the Mexican researchers were tracking on my last trip to Isla de Guadalupe.
He was certainly one of the more curious white sharks that I've encountered at the island and often times would swim right up to the camera.
In this image he actually kept enough difference for me to get a decent profile shot of his left side.
