Timo for President! He's lefthanded and born on August 4, just like Obama.
Esther and I made tons of scrappy buttons for the campaign (Ken made a few too).
Then we were off on a wild-timo ride from North to South Portland with a few twists and turns (Lloyd Mall tunnel anyone?). This was one the best night time rides I've ever been on since I rode so many places I never have been. We finished at the Nightlight on Clinton (another left-hander) with some home-baked cake by Esther.

Gerber British Commando style dagger, and Civil War era Union bayonet mounted on a lefthanded ceremonial handle (probably for a child).
Today is International Left Handers Day.
And won't you just look at me above? I appear to be left handed.
So today is the day our left handedness gets recognized internationally.
With my left hand I am reasonably able to pound stuff, eat stuff, throw stuff, and write stuff. None of which can I do very well with my right hand.
But seriously, I do plan on keeping my right hand for at least a little longer.
You see, I need my right hand to clap, to wave, and to place over my heart during solemn occasions. All of these things are very important to the left-handed me.
So if you happen to know someone who happens to be left handed, be sure to wish them the best on their day.
