This is from the play, Removing the Glove by Clarence Coo. It concerns homophobia in the high school environment.
LHB stands for left-handed blind, which means I literally drew with my left (non-dominant) hand and my eyes closed. Painting is done with my eyes open, in this case still with my left hand. Here are more self-portraits drawn with my eyes closed.
She's on the trailer bike. That's my son way back there also. I'm pretty sure this is the Golden Gate Promenade in the San Francisco Presidio.
I am righthanded as you can see. Was looking for a topic suitable for practicing some lefthanded shooting. And: I rarely write by hand since I started using a computer.

Established in 1980, Southpaw Guitars is the world's largest left-handed music shop. My brother is a left and it was a life-long dream to visit this shop. I admit it was a fascinating experience to see all these pieces of art.

Bruce Kastulo Chen was born 35 years ago in Panama City, Panama. He made his Major League debut in 1999 and has pitched for the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Montreal Expos, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals, which means there are still 20 teams he has not pitched for. He has been lefthanded at every one of his stops. Bruce Chen is proof, that like aluminum cans, lefthanded pitchers can be recycled forever...

This is a past self-portrait from my Daily Portrait Project, in which I made a non-photographic image of myself every day for three years, from 3/15/07 to 3/15/10. This series of self-portraits can be viewed in it's entirety at studiojuliakay.com/portraitproject.

Custom left-handed guitar created by Michigan luthier Tom Murray.
As Tom, my brother Rich, and I hatched the idea, this instrument became a combination of our favorites: the beginnings and general pickup configuration of a Telecaster, with a swept-out cutaway and upper bout inspired by Jazzmasters and Firebirds, with a heavier body and upper-mount switch from the Les Paul school of thought. The pickups are both Seymour Duncan single-coil-size humbuckers. This guitar saw much stage time in the late 90's and served as the main live room guitar for many tracks on the pure suspension "give in" album.
The second theme to come out of Obox Design is called Left Handed. This is a sneaky little preview (you all know how I love my sneaky previews)...
With The Girl's Valentine's Day party coming up soon, she decided to get a head start by working on her cards on New Years Day.

20th May 2010, I had the pleasure of doing my own photo shoot. Of course there were no professional stylist, makeup artist and photographer (with assistant), I took all this with my Nikon D40x- no tripod,no external flash, no softbox, just the cam -myself and my left hand -(i am lefthanded by the way)
Nothing like an entourage to draw attention. Cheerio for now, dahlings!
Ana Lia is a collegue at FBAUL. Caught her in a meeting we attended this morning. Sometime afterwards looking at the drawing I rememberered she is lefthanded. :-)
