The U.S. Army Garrison Vicenza Directorate of Public Works has completed the replacement of 247 light poles supporting 494 old style metal halide lamp fixtures with 357 LED light fixtures on Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy.

The $843,000 project is expected to save the garrison approximately $30,000 annually and further the garrison's move toward achieving Net Zero Energy Installation status.

Paul Murry, who maintains the Melton Hill Lock on the Clinch River at Lenoir City, Tenn., displays an old mercury vapor light fixture (Right on floor - original 1963 fixture) and a new LED light fixture that is being installed soon.
