As part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District’s Leadership Development Program Level 1, emerging leaders were provided the opportunity to visit project sites in the Buffalo, NY area.

Sites included the Emerald Shiner Demonstration project along the Niagara River, LaSalle Park (Ralph C. Wilson Centennial Park) along Buffalo’s inner harbor, and the Beneficial Use of Dredged Material project at Unity Island. Seeing firsthand the purpose behind engineering solutions for the Nation’s toughest challenges connects the people to the mission and to the community we serve.
