Inspiring Others To Follow By Example Is

The Hallmark,Of A Wise Leader

One Step for a Nation, One step for Humanity?

Where is the Mr. or Ms. Smith when we need them the most? Maybe this will be the person and he or she has arrived in Washington to help the little guy and do the right thing for our nation & for the world.

Our nation is at a cross road and the path ahead isn't very clear to many of us. Whoever wins this election the road ahead for them will be always full of political situations and obstacles that will always be changing, that will be the true challenge. I pray that those decisions will reflect the best interest of the average individual of this nation.

Or is this just a pipe dream that I'm having again?

I particularly enjoy the two audience geese, and how completely enthralled they are in whatever the other one is squawking about.

Everyone knows what leadership is, but few people can actually put it into words.

Having asked the question "What is leadership" many times, it's been rare to get the same answer twice.

However don't we know it when we experience it?

And we know what it is not. Leadership is not a job - right?

However aren't we all presented with opportunities for leadership - perhaps daily?

That means any of us can be a leader, and probably should be more often.

OK - I've written a book and lectured at the undergraduate level on leadership - yet a final definition accepted by all is elusive.

So I rely on some simple principles:

1) You can not be a leader without followers. Voluntary followers are the best indicator of leadership.

2) A good leader makes the right decision, at the right time, for the right reason. Generic I know - but still useful within your value system - which is likely different for each of us.

That's as far as is needed to explain the posted photo.

I'm posing with gorgeous Gabrielle Claiborne at a social event prior to 2020. She immediately impressed me in a variety of ways - but for the purposes of this post, it was her leadership potential that hooked me.

That is why I was thrilled she agreed to be a subject of my published interview - released just today. See my FB posting for details or visit www.transliving.co.uk/ to order a copy of the magazine.

She's an author, TED talk speaker, advisor and source of inspiration to countless people.

Maybe others would not agree, but I think Gabrielle will attract a good number of follows - for the right reasons.

I wish to give Pamela Lennon credit for inspiring this post on leadership. Truth be told - I follow her too.

Enjoy!

PS - In case Jenna is reading this - Yes, that is the same dress. I wonder what it would say if it could talk? Yikes!

CEO LEADERSHIP: DRIVING CHANGE

As many legacy brands struggle to find their digital footing, those who fail risk losing business to digital-first companies. But it turns out achieving digital transformation requires not just new technology, but new ways of working. CEOs must lead by communicating the significance of this reinvention and building a strong top team aligned around this mission. A discussion of the CEO’s role, the risks of not changing fast enough and the need to be agile in developing new ways of thinking.

A Learningvisuals describing critical Leadership roles.

The 2023 Leadership of Wyoming class toured the Wyoming Air National Guard 153rd Airlift Wing for Military Day and were able to experience a day in the life of the military as they rode in a C-130 Hercules as well as a UH-60 Black Hawk, and learned about the Air and Army Guard as part of their tour in Cheyenne on May 17, 2023. The program is aimed at enhancing the leadership skills of local leaders. Those who complete the program continue to lead not only their community but the State of Wyoming. Leaders stand out among the crowd. They know their job, they have a role to play.

An extra shot from the "people" assignment, that unfortunately came out a little soft because of the slow shutter required for the lighting, and because the subject was moving...and because my telephoto was zoomed in to 210mm...but I was proud of my compositional aspects.
