Welcome to the unofficial website of the All Blacks.
This is an all-black, female carpenter bee; not the prettiest of bees despite its rather attractive bluish iridescent wings and shiny, blackish, black-lead makeup - No swooning, please!
Happy Halloween!
There's still a "trick" or two to come for which you must read on. You can do this by simply scrolling down the page a bit.

The Heron in the lead made the mistake of landing in a wide open area without knowing it was already the territory of the Heron in the rear, who arrived minutes later. The chase was back and forth for about 30 seconds before the first bird gave up and left. View large.

Been on crunch mode in my RL work these past few days and i've been thinking how despite the mild complaints and all-nighters, I feel blessed to be able to do what I love. All the times i've struggled to find courage to follow this dream, and yet here I am, following the light that I knew would be there at the end of the tunnel. Still a long way to go, but I'll just keep following this light~

EXTREMELY VOCAL, and can be a proficient mimic of both animate and inanimate sounds. Love the way a starling walks with characteristic swagger, and the flight is rather undulating and the wings look pointed and triangular in outline. /// SOMETHING out of the norm. for me, but felt it had something of appeal going for it, so have risked posting it, hope you enjoy it.

"OUR EARS ARE CLOSED"
Sea and mountains, valleys and streams
Night and day were all in Gods dreams,
The Garden of Eden with its precious tree
The Son He gave to set us free.
The seed He placed in the heart He made
Don't let its flowers wither and fade,
Is the ear closed to His constant plea
For in truth we live to disagree.
Have we not learned a thing from the past?
Why is the blindness we have so vast ?
We've ignored His word since time began
To do as we will has been our plan.
Has the Saviour's death not opened our eyes
When His blood was shed for our demise,
Mocked and beaten, betrayed from within
God's Holy Lamb pierced for our sin.
When the reaper comes and we walk to the gate
Do we all stand in line, to wait and wait,
Or will the one who gives life lead you through
And walk with you to paradise and life anew ?

Meanwhile the rain in Sydney is causing hallucinations!!
It hasn't stopped for three days. It's like Woodstock!!
So here's 'Creedence Clearwater Revival' with their tribute to a vexed appearance at a rain-soaked Woodstock Concert in 1969:

Conrail B36-7 5000 leads the eastbound from Lima into the yard at Mansfield. He is just getting off the main and entering the yard lead, while passing the classic Westinghouse Electric Co. building. Even at the time of the photo, the building was only a remnant of the structures that once stood there. I believe this corner end still stands but who knows for how long. I know I'm getting old because way back in the mid-1980's, I actually made a sales call in that complex, back when the blue sky area above the GP38-2 and cars was also industrial buildings. And East 4th street was like driving through a ally between skyscrapers.
My old pal and I messing, trying out shots, and I came away with this image of his Gibson Les Paul which I like. I am drawn to the burnished colours partially, but primarily to the solid engineering excellence of it. I took the shot with the intention of a mono conversion which I did, and I like, but I couldn't deny those colours!

Yesterday I'm gone in the field and I found in a pond a lot of tadpoles and I thought to take some to breed them and when they become a toads, I will lead them home to leave free!
Obviously, I've taken the opportunity to try some underwater shots with my MP-E... This is my first attempt to this technique.
Handheld stack (16shots) taken with 6D, MP-E, at about 2,5X, flash MK320 over the aquarium.
I think it possible to do it better but for now I hope you like it and I thank you for your visits, faves and comments that are always very appreciated!
