Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Power) is described in the Quran as, "better than a thousand months" (97:3). Any action done on this night such as reciting the Quran, remembering Allah, etc. is better than acting for one thousand months which do not contain the night of Qadr.

Allah's Messenger used to exert himself in devotion during th e last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time." (Muslim). Allah's peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet.

Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, related that the Prophet said: Look for Laylatul Qadr on an odd-numbered night during the last ten nights of Ramadan (Bukhari).

The Prophet said: "Whoever prays during the night of Qadr with faith and hoping for its reward will have all of his previous sins forgiven." (Bukhari and Muslim recorded from Abu Huraira).

The holy month of Ramadan enjoys a special importance in the Islamic calendar. As the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) said: "It is Allah's Own month." It is the chief of all months and the most glorious one. As we already know, 'Fasting' is one of the important pillars of Islam and it is the very month of Ramadan during which fasting has been made obligatory for all adults and sane Muslims. By fasting during Ramadan, a Muslim besides discharging an obligation imposed upon him by Allah (SWT), becomes entitled to great reward in the Hereafter. On the other hand, any lapse in the matter amounts to a great sin. Fasting is an article of worship, the knowledge about the performance or otherwise whereof rests only with Allah (SWT) and the person concerned. Hence, it is Allah alone who will reward that person for it, on the Day of Judgment.

The blessings of Ramadan are not limited to fasting alone, because the performance of all sorts of worship and good deeds during this month is also a source of great Divine favor. The revelation of the Holy Qur'an commenced during this very month and it is therefore the duty of every Muslim to read and try to understand the meaning of the Holy Qur'an and thereby gain an insight into the Divine secrets enshrined therein. It brings peace and illumination to the mind and imparts purity to the soul.

Ramadan is the month of fasting, intensive prayer, sacrifice and Divine worship. Throughout this month a devout Muslim fasts during the day in the true sense of the word, that is, he had merely denies himself food and water, but as explained by the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.), exercises strict control over his tongue, eyes, ears, thoughts and deeds and does everything possible to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT).

Devout supplications to Allah (SWT) and repentance of one's sins during Ramadan are the sources of Divine blessings and mercy. Some nights, among the last ten nights of Ramadan, are called the 'Nights of Glory' (Laylatul Qadr). These are the 19th, 21st, and 23rd nights. Muslims keep awake during these nights and offer special prayers. Even among these nights, the 23rd enjoys excellence over all the others. It is accompanied by great blessings, and he usually grants the supplications made to Allah (SWT) during this night.

The holy month of Ramadan, besides being the month of worship and Divine blessings, carries a historical importance as well. As already mentioned above, the revelations of the Holy Qur'an commenced in this month. The epoch-making 'Battle of Badr' and the 'Conquest of Mecca' also took place during the holy month of Ramadan.

"Ramadan", according to some traditions is one of Allah's names. This is why we can not say Ramadan without making it clear that we are talking about the month, and therefore we should always say the month of Ramadan. The Commander of the faithful Ali ibn Abi Taleb (A.S.) said: Do not say Ramadan, but say the month of Ramadan. For you do not know what Ramadan is. This same meaning was referred to by the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) in his speech during Shaaban:

Thousand+ (1000+) Months

“The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months”

(Al Qadr 97:3) small-khadem.blogspot.com/2015/08/097-al-qadr-power-fate-...

“The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎ was shown the lifespans of the people (who had gone) before him, or what Allah willed of that, and it was as if the lives of the people of his community had become too short for them to be able to do as many good actions as others before them had been able to do with their long lives, so Allah gave him Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.”

(Sunan Ibn Majah 19.6.16)

small-khadem.blogspot.com/2015/11/contains-of-sunan-ibn-m...

Another Name of Laylatul Qadr:

1.Laylat Al-Qadr (لیلة القدر‎),

2.Laylatul Qadr

3.Laylatul Kadr

4.Shab-e-Qadr

5.Shab-e-Kadr

6.Night of Power

7.Night of Decree

8.Night of Value

9.Night of Destiny

10.Night of Measures

Thousand (1000) months is equivalent of:

Eighty three (83) years and four (4) months.

Thirty thousand (30,000) days.

Seven hundred twenty thousand (7,20,000) hours.

It is longer than most of us whole life.

When is Laylatul Qadr?

Narrated by Aishah (رضي الله عنها‎) Mohammed صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎ says,

“Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadaan. “

(Bukhari 3:32:234)

small-khadem.blogspot.com/2009/10/bukhari-book-32-praying...

So it could be: 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th.

The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎) came out with his companions in Ramadan and said,

“I was shown a certain night in Ramadan and then two men abused each other and it was taken away. Look for it on the ninth and the seventh and the fifth.”

(Sunan Ibn Majah 19:6:14)

The Night of Forgiven Sin:

“Whoever prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

(Bukhari 3:32:231)

Signs of Laylatul Qadr:

“the sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎"(

(Bukhari 3:32:235)

“At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque which was made of date-palm leaf stalks.“

(Bukhari 3:32:233)

“Sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up.”

(Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmithi and Ibn Majah)

“Which of you remembers the night when the moon arose and was like half a plate.”

(Muslim)

small-khadem.blogspot.com/2009/11/book-0-contains-of-sahi...

Lailatul-Qadr is calm and pleasant, neither hot nor cold, the sun arises on its morning being feeble and red.

(At Tayaalisee, Ibn Khuzaimah and Al-Bazzaar)

By the indication or by the sign which the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎) gave us, and that is that on that day the Sun would rise without having any ray in it.

(Muslim)

Whoever has performed Iktikaaf with me should continue it. I have been shown the Night of 'Qadr', but have forgotten the date, but it is in the odd nights of the last 10 nights. I saw in my dream that I was prostrating in mud and water. In those days the roof of the mosque was made of branches of date palm trees. At the same time the sky was clear and no cloud visible, but suddenly a cloud came and it rained. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎) led us in the prayer and I saw the traces of mud on the forehead and the nose of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎). So it was the confirmation of that dream."

(Bukhari 1:12:777)

Recommended Dua of Laylatul Kadr

اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفُ عني

Another tradition in the Southern California Muslim community is to hold a laylatul-qadr (night of power) program at the Islamic Center of Irvine. It entails extra prayers and inspirational talks during what many are hoping would be a special night in Ramadan.

I took this photo of Shaykh Yasir Qadhi during the Ramdan of 2010 and subsequently had it featured on the Boston Globe website. Here's a link to that photoessay:

The exegesis of the Surah Al Qadr on the Night of Destiny through the blessed eyes of Ghaus Pak (ra)

Indeed, We revealed it in (the) Night (of) Power.

And what can make you know what (the) Night (of) Power (is)?

(The) Night (of) Power (is) better than a thousand month(s).

Descend the Angels and the Spirit therein, by (the) permission (of) their Lord, for every affair,

Peace it (is) until (the) emergence (of) the dawn.

Surah Al Qadr, Verse 1-5

Tafseer e Jilani

Inna: Indeed, We from the Station of Our Great Lutf, Affection and Jood, Generosity, for Our ordinary Servants…

Anzalnaahu: We sent it i.e. al Quran al Mubayyan, Clear, for them, in the way of deliverance from the fires of ignorance…

Fi laylatil Qadr: in the Night of Destiny, unseen, which no one is informed of except the Knowers of the Unseen.

So for this reason Subhanahu made it a secret for His Beloved (salutations and greetings upon the one who was shaded by the clouds and his family), so He said:

Wa maa adraaka: and what have you made out i.e. which thing informed you from the standards of your being a human and from the obligations of being of the world…

Ma laylatul Qadr: what is the Night of Destiny because it is outside the perception of the Realm of the World.

Then Subhanahu clarified it upon the requisites of the intellectual power of humans and their insight so He said:

Laylatul Qadri khairun min alfi shehr: the Night of Destiny is better than a 1,000 months and as compared to the days of the Realm of Witnessing in the world and its nights because…

Tanazzalul malaikatu: the angels descend i.e. inhabitants in a great number of troops from the Realm of Lahoot, Divine Light, Noor (descend)…

Wa roohu: and the Spirit Al Ameen, the Trustworthy, (Hazrat Gibrael (as)), the manager of the matters of spirits in the Realm of the World…

Fiha: (also descends) in it i.e. in that Night and they descend in it only…

Bi idni Rabbihim: by the Permission of their Lord, by His Command for their descending in it and with all of them…

Min kulli amr: every matters from all matters which are happening in the Realm of Witnessing, the world (come as well).

Salam-un: Peace and greetings from Allah Al Haqq, Subhanahu sends Salam for them (the Mo’mineen) and He entrusts upon them their due upon the requisites of His Perfect Confirmed Wisdom so that each of them becomes steadfast and beautifies his accomplishment in the manner in which it is commanded.

And overall:

Hiya: it is (the descending of the angels and the sending of Salam) i.e. their states (the angels) and their matters this and that (continue)…

Hatta mattla’il Fajr: till the emergence of the dawn i.e. till the rising of the Sun of the Essence of Allah Subhanahu, dissolving with the Rays of His Essence, the ordinary limelight of shadows and reflections, all of them.

So it was that Laylatul Qadr, which was concealed during the nights of the year or the nights of the month of Ramadan or in the nights of its last 10 days as is narrated, it is selected and explained as this Laylatul Qadria, unseen, secret, from the Realm of the Noor so for this reason it was not specified or known about, instead it is a secret and hidden.

It was said that in that night, He destined the overall of states that year and all of what happened in it from happenings that are yet to occur as if its origin and its source is Laylatul Qadr which is (originally) unseen, when ordinary destinies are decreed to come from the beginning till the end, so for this reason the one who worships through it, indeed he is successful with goodness in both abodes.

Subhan Allah!

Ghaus Pak (ra) prays:

رزقنا الله وجدها والوصول إليها والتحقق دونها

May Allah grant us its finding and reaching it and being steadfast through it.

May He pleeeeeeeeeeease....Ameen

180. All Praise is for Subhanahu who after our erasing duality and selfishness allowed us to reach the Heaven of His Tauheed

And We will remove whatever (is) in their breasts of malice.

Flows from underneath them the rivers.

And they will say, "All the praise (is) for Allah, the One Who guided us to this, and we were not to receive guidance if not (had) guided us Allah. Certainly, came Messengers of our Lord with the truth."

Surah Al-Araaf, Verse 43

Tafseer e Jilani

Wa: After they have entered the Heaven of Tauheed, One-ness

Naza’na ma fi sudoorihim min ghill-in: after We erased from their breasts, duality and selfishness…

Tajri min tahtihal anhaar: (the Heaven) under which flow rivers of Ma’rifat, Knowledge of God and Haqaiq, Realities of the Essence of God, sprouting from the Ocean of the His One-ness.

Wa: After their unveiling due the dissolving of their identity and they triumph in the Everlasting Existence of Allah…

Qaalu: they said, with the capability of their tongues as inspired by Allah, that they may become steadfast on gratitude…

Alhamdo: praise and admiration that rises from tasleem o raza, surrender and acceptance…

Lillah alladi hada-na li hada: for The One who made us reach the status of contentedness and the Place of the Honour of meeting Him…

Wa ma kunna li nahtadiya: Which we would not have reached if we had stayed in the company of our desires and the darkness of our selves…

Lau la an hada-na: Were it not for his Lutf, Kindness and Endless Generosity and Vast Mercy.

Ameen!

27th night of Ramadan is presumed to be 'laylatul qadr' and this mosque in Sharjah accommodates for 1000s of worshippers who come to perform the prayer.

I decreased the redness out of the original photo and brightened it slightly.

Etymologically the word Laylat ul Qadr means the Night of Importance. However, Muslim scholars translate it in many other ways as well. For instance, this night is called as the Night of Decree, Night of Destiny, Night of Forgiveness, Night of Power, and so on and so forth. Significance of Night of Qadr In Holy Quran There are many other significant dates in the Islamic calendar that have been mentioned in the Quran but never have been a whole surah been dedicated for a day. Even, if we see Surah jummah, only three ayats in the final conclusion openly speak

www.theislamicquotes.com/things-to-do-on-laylatul-qadr-la...

Ramadhan is a month with full of blessings and rewards, though Rasulullah SAW the prophet and The Noble Companions r.a. practices reflected the special of the last ten days. As the last third of Ramadhan, this last 10 days should be utilized to put our effort to the maximum before Ramadhan sets it sail and pass by, until we meet the next Ramadhan, which nobody can ensure.

Laylatul-Qadr is to be found in the last 10 nights of Ramadhan. There is no history in the Quran as to when the specific date is. Sometimes referred to as "the night of power", it is considered the most holy night of the year, as it is the night in which the Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad. Good deeds performed on this night are better than those performed consistently for a thousand months.

Muslim friends, let us seek for Laylatul-Qadr and may Allah flood us with His blessing and forgiveness. “He or she is a great loser who finds Ramadan then comes out of it without gaining forgiveness and goodness” (HR Bukhari & Muslim)

Ramadhan Tips

Ramadan is the month of excitement for Muslims. Ramadan is the month of revelation of Quran, the month of reading and reciting the whole Quran, the month of Tahajjud and Qiyam al-layl prayers, Sadaqah, Zakah al-Fitr and Zakah al-Mal. Ramadan is also a month of social activities among Muslims.

No one can go anywhere without preparation, and no one invites a guest without preparing to welcome him / her. Similarly, to welcome Ramadan, the month of fasting, one has to prepare. The following are some tips to help the reader prepare accordingly:

1. Start reading Quran daily after Salat al-Fajr.

2. Spend some time listening to recitations from the Quran.

3. Train yourself to go bed early so that you can wake up far Salat al-Fajr.

4. Keep yourself in a state of Wudu (Ablution) most of the time.

5. Evaluate yourself daily before going bed.

6. Thank Allah for good deeds, and repent to Him for your mistakes and sins.

7. Start giving Sadaqah daily, no matter how little. Make it a habit like eating and drinking.

8. Find time to pray extras, such as Tahajjud prayers.

9. Spend more time reading Islamic books, especially the Quran, Sirah, Hadith, and Fiqh.

10. Find time to help others with your wisdom, knowledge and other talents.

11. Try to write articles on Islam for Muslims as well as for non-Muslims.

12. Associate with Muslim scholars / ulama and other pious people so that you may learn from them.

13. Train yourself to do good, render free service to others to seek the pleasure of Allah.

1. Reduce watching TV, instead spend more time reading the Quran and other Islamic literature.

2. Avoid looking at unlawful pictures, whether magazines, department store catalogs or otherwise.

3. Avoid going to theaters; instead go to Masajid, Islamic organizations and make that a daily habit.

4. Avoid eating too much. Eat only when you are hungry and try not to fill your stomach completely.

5. If you drink Coffee, Tea or Soda, be sure to reduce consumption.

6. If you smoke, try to reduce daily usage; otherwise Ramadan will be very difficult for you to observe.

7. If you like to listen to music, whether the style of western societies or even those from Muslim countries, reduce, even eliminate the time you spent on them; replace them with reciting and listening to recitation from the Quran.

8. If you enjoy playing cards and board games try your best to avoid them as much as possible and fill your time with something useful.

9. If you enjoy going with friends to picnics and other social gatherings, try to reduce it before Ramadan; otherwise fasting the month of Ramadan will be more difficult.

10. If you have friends who do not practice the teaching of Islam, try to avoid socializing with them.

11. If you travel a lot on business, try to do more local business, so you can be more closer to your family and community.

12. If you are used to staying up till midnight, try to go to bed earlier, so that you will be able to wake up early for Salat al-Fajr and Tahajjud prayers as well.

To prepare ourselves before the month of Ramadan arrives is far better than waiting till it comes. To prepare ourselves for anything in life is a sign of wisdom and maturity. No one is assured of living one day more; tomorrow may not come. So hurry and benefit from blessings and rewards from Allah.

Remember: "Time is not money or gold; it is life itself and is limited. You must begin to appreciate every moment of your life and always strive to make the best use of it." - Khurram Murad.

# Make a resolve to win the maximum favor of Allah by performing extra Voluntary prayers (Nawaafil), making frequent Dua and increased remembrance (Dhikr).

# Try to recite some Holy Quran after every Prayer. In fact if you read 3-4 pages after every Prayer you can easily finish the entire Quran in Ramadan!

# Study the Tafseer (commentary) every morning.

# Invite a person you are not very close with or your relatives to your home for Iftaar, at least once a week (Weekend). You will notice the blessings in your relationships!

# Bring life to your family! Everyday, try to conclude the fast with your family and spend some quality time together to understand each other better.

# Give gifts on Eid to at least 5 people: 2 to your family members, 2 to your good friends, and 1 to a person whom you love purely for the sake of Allah.

# Make commitment to join Islamic study circles to learn more about Islam and improve your own life.

# Donate generously to the Masajid, Islamic organizations, and any where people are in need or oppressed. "Because Ramadan, is a month of sharing!"

# Share month of Ramadan and its teachings of peace and patience with your neighbours.

# Sleep little, eat little! Make sure you do not defeat the purpose of fasting by over-indulging in food and being lazy.

# Seek the rare and oft-neglected rewards of the night better than 1000 months (Laylatul-Qadr / Shab-e-Qadr).

# Weep in private for the forgiveness of your sins: Ramadan is the month of forgiveness and Allah's Mercy! It's never too late.

# Learn to control your tongue and lower your gaze. Remember the Prophet's (pbuh) warning that lying, backbiting, and a lustful gaze all violate the Ramadan fast!

# Encourage others to enjoin and love goodness, and to abandon everything that Allah dislikes. Play the role of a Da'ee (one who invites to Allah) with zeal, passion, and sympathy.

# Experience the joy of Tahajjud prayers late at night and devote yourself purely and fully to Allah in the Itikaf retreat during the last 10 days of Ramadan.

praying in Laylatul-Qadr(the Night of Decree) ,Ramadan 2006

Allah -The Most High - said: "The month of Ramadhan in which the

Qur’aan was revealed, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the

guidance of the Criterionbetween right and wrong. So whosoever of you

sights the crescent for the month of Ramadhan, he must fast that

month." [Soorah al-Baqarah 2:185].

Allah's Messenger ( sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam ) said:

"Islaam is built upon five: Testifying that none has the right to be

worshippedexcept Allah and the Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,

establishing the Prayer, giving the Zakaah performing Hajj to the

House, and lasting in Ramadhan ." [1]

He ( sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam ) also said:

"There has come to you Ramadhan , a blessed month, in which Allah has

made it obligatory to fast. During it the gates of Paradise are opened

and the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the rebellious devils are

chained. In it is anight ( Laylatul-Qadr ) which is better than a

thousand months. He who is deprived of its good has truly been

deprived."[2]

From the many important lessons to be learnt from fasting are:

[1]: GAINING TAQWAA

Fasting has been legislatedin order that we may gain taqwaa as Allah -

the Most High - said: "O you who believe! fasting is prescribed for

you, as it was prescribed upon those before you in order that you may

attain taqwaa." [Soorah al-Baqarah 2:183].

Talq ibn Habeeb (d.100H) - rahimahullaah - said:

"When fitnah (trial and tribulation) appears then extinguish it with

taqwaa ." So he was asked as to what taqwaa was, so he replied: "

Taqwaa is to act in obedience to Allah, upon a light (i.e. eemaan ,

faith) from Allah, hoping inthe Mercy of Allah. And taqwaa is leaving

acts of disobedience to Allah, upon a light from Allah, due to the

fear of Allah."[3]

"This is one of the best definitions of taqwaa . For every action must

have both a stating point and a goal. And an action will not be

considered as an act of obedience, or newness to Allah unless it sluts

from pure eemaan (faith in Allah). Thus, it is pure eemaan - and not

habits, desires, nor seekingpraise or fame, nor its flee - that should

be what initiates an action. And thepreparation showed, to earn the

reward of Allah and to seek His good pleasure."[4] So Fasting is a

means of attaining taqwaa , since it helps prevent a person from many

sins that one is prone to. Due to this, the Prophet ( sallAllahu

‘alayhi wa sallam ) said: "Fasting is a shield with which the servant

protects himself from the Fire."[5] So we should ask ourselves, after

each day of fasting: Has this lasting made us more fearful and

obedient to Allah? Has it aided us in distancing ourselves from sins

and disobedience?

[2]: SEEKING NEARNESS TOAllah

The Prophet ( sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam ) said:

"Allah said: Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, I shall be at

war with him. My servant does not draw near to me with anything more

beloved to me than the obligatory duties that I have placed upon him.

My servant continues to draw nearer to Me with optional deeds so that

I shall love him."[6]

The Prophet ( sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam ) said:

"Whosoever reaches the month of Ramadhan and does not have his sins

forgiven, and so enters theFire, then may Allah distance him."[7]

So drawing closer to Allah - the Most Perfect - in this blessed month,

can be achieved by fulfilling one's obligatory duties; and

alsoreciting the Qur’aan and reflecting upon its meanings, increasing

in kindness and in giving charity, in making du‘aa (supplication) to

Allah, attending the Taraaweeh Prayer, seeking out Laylatul-Qadr (the

Night of Power and Pre-Decree), a night which is better than a

thousand months, attending gatherings of knowledge, and striving

inthose actions that will cause the heart to draw closer to its lard

and to gain His forgiveness. Our level of striving in this blessed

month should be greater than our striving to worship Allah in any

other month, due to the excellence and rewards that Allah has placed

in it. Likewise from the great means of seeking nearnessto Allah in

this month is making I‘tikaaf (seclusion in the mosque in order to

worship Allah) - for whoever is able.

Thousand+ (1000+) Months: ift.tt/2nOqrcF "The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months" (Al Qadr 97:3) ift.tt/2ngj55v The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎ was shown the lifespans of the people (who had gone) before him, or what Allah willed of that, and it was as if the lives of the people of his community had become too short for them to be able to do as many good actions as others before them had been able to do with their long lives, so Allah gave him Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months. (Sunan Ibn Majah 19 . 6 . 16) ift.tt/2nOhhwU Another Name of Laylatul Qadr 1. Laylat Al-Qadr (لیلة القدر‎) 2. Laylatul Qadr 3. Laylatul Kadr 4. Shab-e-Qadr 5. Shab-e-Kadr 6. Night of Power 7. Night of Decree 8. Night of Value 9. Night of Destiny 10.Night of Measures Thousand (1000) months is equivalent of: Eighty three (83) years and four (4) months. Thirty thousand (30,000) days. Seven hundred twenty thousand (7,20,000) hours. It is longer than most of us whole life. When is Laylatul Qadr? Narrated by Aishah (رضي الله عنها‎) Mohammed صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎ says, Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadaan. (Bukhari 3:32:234) ift.tt/2nguwKy So it could be 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎) came out with his companions in Ramadan and said, "I was shown a certain night in Ramadan and then two men abused each other and it was taken away. Look for it on the ninth and the seventh and the fifth." (Sunan Ibn Majah 19:6:14) Quran Revealed: We sent The Quran down during a Blessed Night (Ad-Dukhan) ift.tt/2nOuu8W The Night of Forgiven Sin: Whoever prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven. (Bukhari 3:32:231) ift.tt/2nghLzr Signs of Laylatul Qadr: "The sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎)." (Bukhari 3:32:235) "At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque which was made of date-palm leaf stalks." (Bukhari 3:32:233) "Sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up." (Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmithi and Ibn Majah) "Which of you remembers the night when the moon arose and was like half a plate." (Muslim) ift.tt/2nOxMJd "Lailatul-Qadr is calm and pleasant, neither hot nor cold, the sun arises on its morning being feeble and red." (At Tayaalisee, Ibn Khuzaimah and Al-Bazzaar) "By the indication or by the sign which the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم‎) gave us, and that is that on that day the Sun would rise without having any ray in it." (Muslim) Whoever has performed Iktikaaf with me should continue it. So it was the confirmation of that dream." (Bukhari 1:12:777) Recommended Dua of Laylatul Kadr: اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفُ عني

A blessed #Hadith says that #Allah likes to be worshipped during the (first) ten days of Zul-hijjah more than any other day. The fast of any one of these days is equivalent to a year’s fasts and the night Salah during any one of these nights (is equivalent) to Laylatul Qadr. (Jami Tirmidhi, vol. 2, pp. 192, Hadis 758)

(16th August 2012) - After going to the protest and then cooking for the family, I went to mosque as I normally do. Except this night at the mosque was the night before the 27th of Ramadan, known as Laylatul Qadr. This night is a rather special night for Muslims as we believe it's the night on which the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet.

And as such, the mosque was busier than normal but this didn't matter as we managed to get in a bit earlier and get our seat. After the normal prayers (during which the recitation of the Qur'an was completed), there were a few speeches and prayers (or more specifically, 'duas') from the imam and other people from the community. After midnight, for a few minutes they take all the lights off and perform a group prayer - I managed to get a picture of this just as soon as the lights went off!

During the day though, I made a real effort to find some Eid clothes once and for all. I spent around two and a half hours wandering the shops, desperately trying to find something I thought would match the light blue jeans I'd bought previously. I couldn't find a single thing and so I resolved to return the jeans first thing tomorrow morning.

Dear Allah please accept our fasts in this beautiful ramadan- ramadan kareem best typography.

Laylatul Qadr

Laylatul Qadr is also called ‘The Night of Power’ or ‘The Night of Destiny’. This night is extremely important for the Muslims. This night come in any of the last five odd days of the Holy month of Ramadan therefore, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. Mostly Muslims think of 27th as the Laylatul Qadr but it is misconception it is not necessary at all.

Hazrat Ayesha (Radhiallaahu Anha) reported that the Apostle of Allah said: “Search for the Blessed Night in the odd (nights) from the last ten (nights) of Ramadan” (Bukhari).

Laylatul-Qadr

“[97:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. [97:2] Surely, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. [97:3] And what shall make thee know what the Night of Decree is? [97:4] The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. [97:5] Therein descend angels and the Spirit by the command of their Lord with Divine decree concerning every matter. [97:6] It is all peace till the rising of the dawn.”

Allahumma innaka 'affuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni'

Aisha radhiya Allahu `anha, that she said: “O Messenger of Allah! What if I knew which night Lailatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?” He said.- “Say.- (Allahumma innaka ‘affuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee.)
