I tried to find a new viewpoint of Bosham Quay so walked around the back of an Oil Seed Rape field opposite the Quay. Some of the flowers are out of focus as I was standing on my tip toes to get a clear view despite being 6ft 3in!

The Comox Bay and estuary emptied from water with the low tide.

The layered rocks exposed at low tide were so interesting near Santa Barbara, California.

it's a rainy day here. between showers, i got outside with my camera. raindrops and leaves (so simple) tell such rich stories. layers and layers, worlds within worlds. just like life: there's extraordinary within the ordinary; there's a backstory within each person we meet.

As they protect the poor little berries from that little bit of sun and a lot of fog --- still it makes photographic opportunities (see my entire album devoted to tunnel farming in Santa Barbara county)

When the sun peaked through the clouds and lit up the peaks across this view, it made for visual feast of layers. The layers of minerals deposited there at the hot springs are amazing to see themselves, but getting the clouds and sunlight there was an added bonus.

A view from Pasture Yen Family. It was many years ago I drove with my family by my new car VOLVO XC-90.This is a very beautiful place and near the famous Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area.

PS: I came here days ago and the scenery was gone. Too many huge trees block the landscape.

It's our challenges and obstacles that give us layers of depth and make us interesting. Are they fun when they happen? No. But they are what make us unique. And that's what I know for sure... I think.

This colourful ceramic mosaic by local artist Peter Alting was dedicated in 1994. If you enlarge this photograph you can see how well he has crafted the ceramic pieces providing "Layers of Discovery" for the local region.

One night, when I switched on the few lights in my porch, I noticed that multiple shadows appeared on the wall behind my bromeliad plants - trying to show it here.

it´s simply a beautiful hike there

We're going to play a guessing game here, if you're "game" :)

I'd love to see how many of you can figure out what this is. No hints in the tags. There are a few of you who just might be able to...

And for a prize, well, you get the honour of being right!

Tomorrow, I'll add what this is to my description.

Okay, here's the reveal.... First, I had so much fun reading all of your theories on what this was :) There are obviously quite a few bicycle riders here, as you guys got it right. Some of you called it a chainset, sprocket, or a cassette, but that's what it is! And yes, it's so clean because it's brand new. When I saw what they looked like close up, with the blue inside, I had to photograph it.
