Spent the weekend in the forest. Many fungi I saw. This is one of my favorites, Coprinus comatus also known as lawyers wig.
The Shaggy Inkcap, also known as 'Lawyer's Wig' and 'Shaggy Mane' gets its name from its tall, white, shaggy cap. It is widespread and common on roadside verges, parkland, grassland and gardens, growing in small groups. It is edible when young.
The Shaggy Inkcap has a tall, narrow, cylindrical cap that is white and very 'shaggy' with 'scales' over its surface. The cap gradually opens out to a bell shape. The gills are very crowded; they are white at first, then turn pink and eventually black, dissolving from the margin of the cap until it is almost entirely gone. The shaggy inkcap has a tall, smooth, white stem with a moveable ring.
Working with our Lawyers at Arendt & Medernach. Took a little break to shoot this beauty. Wanted to enhance the metallic fabric of the staircase by adjusting blue and grey at very low saturation
This is a portrait of a local lawyer for an upcoming magazine article. Like most assignments i was not given much info or guidelines, just get a cool shot.
I used one sb28 flash on a sc17 cord and bounced it off the wall to the left of him. The background was ambient light.
Since i will not have time to do a shot for the background assignment, this will have to be my entry.
"Lawyers" are not rude at this Washington Island (Wisconsin) restaurant, they are the local name for a kind of fish. A lawyer is a spineless, eel-like fresh water codfish. I did not stop to sample a lawyer as I was headed to a nearby restaurant to take "the bitters challenge".
Snowball fight during lunch break!
Shot with my lensbaby (no photoshopped DOF). Manual focus, terribly difficult to use in action shots, most of them were out of focus, but when it all comes together....
