I took these series of photos while passing by my neighbour's garden. The lavender bush was popping out of the fence. I could not resist taking a few shots. I hope you will like my last image: lavender macro. Wish you a happy new week!

As it was lovely and sunny and there was a beautiful blue sky I went past the Lavender to try and get a better photo from low down.

However, someone's been doing some pruning and there wasn't as much Lavender as before, plus it was rather windy which was causing havoc with the flowers. But I do like how this came out.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

Another for my "Macro onr Monday" series.

I was looking to see the best angle to take a photo of the lavender fields and then this young lady began walking up the rows in her white dress. I really liked the contrast of the white with the lovely blue/purple of the lavender.

A lovely day spent in the lavender fields...the aroma was wonderful as was the spread of lavender

The lavender smelt so wonderful and as soon as it had dried out a little along came the bees and butterflies...would advise anyone going... make it an overcast/cloudy day... get so much more from the lavender Photos

Lavender growing in my front garden.

We visited beautiful Tasmania for the New Year and one of the places on our list to visit was the Bridestowe Lavender Estate. It was fantastic to photograph the massive lavender fields at sunset and we were very lucky that conditions were superb as well. This is a photo taken just before the sun went down with the golden light still reaching the tops of the lavender plants.

Choose a small selection of the lavender to concentrate on

the smell was so wonderful

I think the title says it all.

Once again, trying to make sure I didn't include people in the shot, I decided to go for a close up with the lovely lavender fields showing behind. The bee was a coincidence whilst getting my focus in camera.
