First flown with the Boeing test registration N1795B, this aircraft was delivered to Lauda Air as LN-LNM in May-00. Lauda Air was merged into Austrian Airlines in Oct-04. It stayed in Lauda livery until it was repainted into Austrian Airlines livery in Apr-08. The aircraft was permanently retired at St. Athan, Wales, UK in Apr-12 after only 12 years in service. It was broken up at St. Athan in Jun-12.
Note: Like the Airbus A318, The Boeing 737-600 was not a popular aircraft and not many were sold. The biggest customers were SAS Scandinavian Airlines and WestJet (Canada). Smaller than the B737-700 they used almost as much fuel. Many of the airlines that bought them retired them prematurely.
Austrian racer Niki Lauda to this day holds the record for the most World Grand Prix wins out of any other Formula One driver. On top of his career-long feud with fellow racer James Hunt, Niki became most famous for his crash in the German Grand Prix in 1976 where he inhaled very toxic fumes and received permanent damage to his lungs and skin on his face. Despite being in the hospital for weeks on end, he managed to recover and returned to racing as soon as he could.
I admire Niki Lauda for his confidence, strong will, and how he doesn’t let anyone push him around or get the best of him. He is passionate about what he does and pushes himself to improve more and more. I strive to be as brave and confident as he is, not letting anything criticizing anyone has to say bother me.
